Van is still in the potential stage. This year Van needs 3 D (2 RHD, 1 LHD), 2 C, and 1 W until they get some more picks. - manvanfan
I am with Lefty, Centres are needed badly and can easily play wing.
Defense is an obvious concern.
Dobson will be a bigtime minute-muncher, Wahlstrohm has been impressive, although he gets propped up by playing with another very good player.
I would consider trading down if neither are on the board and go after Veleno, Hayton, Wilde or McIsaac.
I would also check in with Penguins about Sheahan and Oleksiak, who are both RFA and may need some of our cheaper players like Granlund etc. |

Another second round pick would go a long way to fixing the defence if Benning can get one and hit on both picks. |

That would be very nice.
Some nice defenseman scattered throughout the 2nd round and maybe even early 3rd round.
This kid has impressed me all season.

Would be a nice pick in the 3rd. |

I was really pullin for OV to make a final but doesn't look like it now. Too bad! He's one of the best scorers ever. - LeftCoaster
Me too, want him to get his name on the cup. Not like he hasn't be playing extremely well either – you can tell how badly he wants it. There's just something off with that team, can never get that last little bit to get over the top.
Still hoping they come back and send it to game 7. |

Dobson and Walhstrom have been two players i've been eyeing up since December.
I'm still really high on Rasmus Kupari. K'Andre Miller, i've seen ranked anywhere from 20-40.
Ty Emberson for the past couple of months. Been seeing more and more of him.

Walks the line well. In the u18 tournament, saw him lay the body quite a bit.
Speed and size. Ranked 42 in NA central scouting rankings. I doubt he makes it into the 3rd round but I think whoever gets him, gets a real good D.
The Pens can keep those players unless Van is going to trade Sutter, Gagner, Hutton, Pouliot, MDZ. |

I thought Winnipeg would get past Vegas, having presumed better depth and size and would be able to keep pace with LV. However, if Vegas makes it to the finals, I'm gonna put down and say they win it.
Fleury is playing lights out, and their speed and tenacity is just too much for teams – and their D zone play is underrated. Tampa has had trouble with the Caps' forecheck, and Vegas is just as hard on pucks.
I want OV to win it, so would love to see them come back against the Lightning, but it's not looking good right now. - NewYorkNuck
WPG may make a series out of it yet. Still some Hockey to be played.
Funny how Fleury seems to be on a mission. Many criticized his play even when PIT was winning cups with him and saying they were winning in Spite of him. He did have two awful years in PIT and it looked like he was done...Oilers and Flames had a chance to acquire Fleury too.
I'm indifferent on OV. I think he's a tool and wouldn't mind seeing him retire without a cup. If the Jets are out then It would be nice for Stamkos to get that Cup. I'd like to say TBAY would beat Vegas in the finals but Vegas seems to be jumping over everything and everyone. Hopefully the reffing stays fair. We as Canuck fans all know that if WPG wants to get to the Cup final and win not only do they have to beat the club they are playing but battle Gary and his refs as well. It will be interesting if game 5 is called fair. |

Winnipeg just can't really solve Fleury, if Fleury isn't even a fraction of how good he has been so far, it's easily 3-1 Winnipeg. The fact that the Jets have had the vast majority of good scoring chances and zone time proves that. LV has just been better at turning it up after Winnipeg scores and seems to be on a mission to win the Cup. You can tell just how frustrated some of the Jets are, but I think it's over in Game 5. |

He decides to put McDavid out on the PK which puzzled everybody including the announcers
& McDavid was the reason they scored on the PP, he had no idea what the hell he was doing. |

I remember when Donna was telling me the Golden Knights were gonna be worse than the Canucks, now I didn't envision a Cup final but I told him he was out to lunch....good times! - LeftCoaster
Yup I said the same thing to him. Everyone is wrong occasionally .

Dobson is playing today at 4 on Sportsnet. I suggest you watch him #53 . Like I said yesterday nothing wrong with him but he is years away from NHL ready. You can get a player close to that in the second round with Miller or McIssac |

I am not saying anything wrong about him but a forward at #7 would have more immediate impact IMO. |
