It’s such a ridiculous sentiment which you’d expect to hear from one of the game’s dinosaurs. Patrick Kane went first overall in 2007 weighing 160 pounds. He seems to have worked out OK.

“We do still talk about size but there’s less hesitation because you’re seeing many undersized guys have success,” said Judd Brackett, the Canucks’ director of amateur scouting. “It is still relevant but guys are finding ways to play regardless of size.

Yeah seen all that before, they're referring to weight when they say "size". Semantics, whatever you refer weight to can mean different things to different people. To me, in hockey, if you're small you're short, in football running backs are 5'10" 235lbs, different scenarios.

Not many hockey players are heavy.
