Dobson nice goal but a lazy backcheck.
In the NHL that wouldn’t happen unless a floater was 3rd man back. |

@ Nucker
@ A lil bit older Hefty
I think that the O is key and that if it can get done with any D that's good. As long as everyone is happy. |

If BT is there at 7. New. NYR coach Quinn may want him. So NYR trade up to from 9 to 7. Extra draft pick. So then Philly comes calling at 14 for 9. Extra pick. 2 extra draft picks to drop 7 spots would be solid. |

Scouts like his D play better than Boq, Hughes and Bouchard. He is normally solid |

Not many if anyone here is a fan of trading down. I am for the right deal. Those other ppl argue the higher the number of the pick the higher the chances of a better player. Laughable IMO. I’m all about the name of the player not the number he is picked at. Fundamentally idc about their logic when its all about scouting & having more picks to get it done & unearth top talent. |

The higher your pick, the more likely to get a game changing player. Do you not agree than Dahlin will likely be better than any other player in this draft? The only way you ever trade down, especially in the top 10, is if there is a player you really like that your are 100% sure you can get lower. WPG like Scheifele enough to go off the board at 7OA when he was not ranked anywhere near that at the time. They could have traded down for him, but felt that they should not take the risk in case anyone else felt the same they did. Trading down is rarely an option, esp in the top 10.

Yes Dahlin is a game changer.
Have we ever had 1oa? No
Moot when all is said & done.
Why do you presume we trade down blindly? How about pick BPA & have trades in JB’s back pocket for teams willing to trade up. Risk is avoided if thought through. It comes down to who JB sees he likes later in the draft & how much he can extract. Last draft he almost had VGK’s 2nd doing exactly that. |

you can't force him and threaten to waive him, the canucks would become a league-wide laughing stock amongst agents and players once word got out
but you can at least straight up tell Edler that he isn't in the long-term plans here and they would like to move him to get younger. Edler has gone on record saying that he'd be willing to move if he isn't wanted here. Or like Vantel said, just negotiate a contract under the table with Edler and his agent to re-sign him in the summer after a trade.
Blues did it with Keith Tkachuk, Leafs traded Winnik and Polak and signed them again. - Nucker101
if we're out of a playoff spot, the fanbase will force it. no need to worry. |

Next step...
Hawks at 8
Rangers at 9
Oilers at 10
Which of those might want to move up and at what price? Personally i see the top 9-10 being the end of a talent tier. Probably wrong but Kotkaniemi i like & as a C there is not many to pick from. Veleno is also in that neighbourhood. My biggest question is if Tkachuk or Wahlstrom can be NHL C’s & if yes then i want either of them & no trades. |

I see what you're saying
He just got schooled by steel, and they scored, and he looked bad on 2 other goals after that.
But I liked him jumping into the play.
Very hot and cold in this game |
