TBL are a far better team & further along with a ton of talent surrounding Sergachev & it cost them Droiun when they should have picked Seth Jones. Screwed up there.

Arizona is nothing special unless a blackhole siphoning compensation money counts.

Comparing players is one thing but when 1 has yet to play in the NHL & being a D for a team thats in no rush its premature.

Excuses. Sergachev also played a few games in Montreal . We picked the worse of the three . Why can't you just accept it? Two of them are producing on NHL teams ours may or may not be ready next year.

I wanted Ehlers back then but that draft doesn’t look so great so i can live with JV as he develops & JB builds the team. Nylander at the time was my other comsideration but he didn’t impress in the PO’s. In the end we go nowhere til the C position & D get massively better.

Early on the preseason i said next year would be the year to judge JB critically.
I also said next season should show real growth & improvement with the microscope fully on JB. 2020 we should be a definite team on the rise as in a PO team. Thats the year i believe Demko is truly ready & the kids seasoned enough & come together. That a pretty far stretch of the imagination but it was the timeline i wanted to see. Chances are i’m wrong but its the goals i would set as an organization in our position.
