Agree to disagree. I think most prospect can improve to an extent but not all can improve significantly.

Also my questions about Bouchard go beyond just skating. I think his hockey sense is just average compared to guys like Hughes and Dobson.


But again, I’m just a wannabe GM here and have only watched him play a few games.

Doesn't mean all prospects can't improve. If Bouchard's biggest knock against him is skating, to me that is something that is the easy to improve.

it was a bit of a joke but still disagree as its tough to change the mechanics of a players stride. nucker is right about reid boucher as a good example. id also say bobby ryan is another example who would be in the prime of his career if he was a better skater

You can teach a kid to skate (look at Hodgson). Can't teach offensive talent. I'd be happy with Bouchard, Dobson, Hughes. If Tkachuk is available, I almost hope they don't take him unless we get an additional first rounder.
