flip one of those picks for petry and im on board
klefbom-petry pairing would be ideal - Sabresfan-365
All they did was helped their teams to horrible records though...
*i kid... just taking a shot at some of the logic i see on here about our players |

Oh, i do sir
What was that Girgs joke about btw? |

Klefbom doesn't have stats though.
- CoHo_to_B-Lo
Or being wanted by his current team since he has been shopped since before the deadline. Just a little detail being overlooked by the Buffalo Klefbom Fan Club who also pays dues to the Joel Armia Fan Club. |

I agree we will improve but we will be young, and have almost half the roster turn over. I think there will be stretches of what we see in the future. But i also think we are going to struggle for long stretches as well. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
I expect inconsistency as well
But see us trending up bc we should be better in all 3 areas
Of course i still think we have work to do though too |

Does this logic apply to Hall, Eberle, Petry? I mean they really liked Lucic, must mean he's great, let's go after him! |

Let's defer to the authority who traded 3 of the top 20 scorers in the league this year.

I've suggested something like that.
Like if the Isles know Tavares is a goner, maybe you get one of their firsts, one of their better prospects and a young roster player. - Sabresfan-365
We're back to #11 and Ho Sang? Blech |

Reading some of the talk on free agency (Tavares)...don’t you guys think you should wait a couple years before making a big splash? Just a thought, but maybe after a couple years of Mitts and Dahlin settling in as NHL players you might have a better idea of what you have? That looks like it will a pretty kick ass free agent class provided the best ones don’t re-up. |

I think it's fine applying with Eberle. Petry is a manufactured top line D while Weber is out on a bottom feeder team and the Sabres know all about those. He is a nice a D but to have a woody over him and build your D around him is a little silly. |

I can't believe this discussion board wants Klefbom over Risto and still has dreams of Joel Armia. If this were the nineties it's like fans still harboring warm feelings for Eric Rasmussen. |

Haha, good to hear. Crazy but I’ve read Klefbom and #10 a few times. Not sure who is floating this with an Oilers perspective in mind, it’s crazy and lopsided ( unless someone thinks last year wasn’t just a bad, injury filled season for Klefbom and that he won’t bounce back). Then again it’s PC making the trade and he loves to overpay by a wide margin.

Eberle had 59 points last year. They moved him for ryan strome. Im well aware Petry is a 2nd pair D, but he's good and went for way less than he should have. That's my point |
