My to-do list, in absolutely no particular order:
- Sign Tavares
- Find a #1 goaltender
- Find, at least, 1 top-4 defenseman, if not 2 (this can include de Haan)
- Purge as many of Garth's terrible signings as is humanly possible, including but not limited to: Clutterbuck, Cizikas, Mayfield, Pelech (Not listing Ladd because he has a NMC)
- Trade Brock Nelson
- Sign or acquire a defensively-competent third line
- In fact, rebuild the entire third line. Perron would be an amazing signing if he doesn't re-up with VGK
- Get rid of Snow
- Find a GM (Hunter/Fitzgerald/whoever)
- Get rid of Brent Thompson in BPT and replace him
- Start building a successful AHL team
Not saying that all needs to happen this offseason, but those are the major bullet points that I'd like to see addressed...off the top of my head. - eichiefs9
1. Sign JT
2. Fire Snow
After those two everything else falls into place and I believe you get everything else on that list most of it before the season starts. Hopefully he's waiting on Hunter or Fitzgerald cans Snow before the draft, runs the draft himself, and hires one of those two soon after. Tavares resigning, firing Snow, and just having Lou adds a ton of legitimacy to this orginization. Any of this doesn't happen it's a fail IMO.

Something to remember about Mark Hunter: He was owner, Vice President and General Manager of the London Knights when John Tavares played there before being drafted in 2009. Keep that in mind over the next few weeks. #Isles |

I mean it would be crazy not to think that Hunter has to be in the mix for employment with the Isles. Lou loves bringing his guys along with him (as was pointed out when Stevens was mentioned).
I think it's kinda telling when he's said that he'll make his decisions by leaving emotion out of it and will do what's right for the organization regardless of sentiment. That really sounds like it's laying the groundwork for terminating Snow, who it's been widely-reported that he has a "good relationship" with. |

Nope. Crawford's got vertigo issues and Raanta literally just signed a brand new extension in ARI. I can't imagine they move him right after extending him. |

Is Rinne worth the 1yr?? - Ur Not Me
Depends on the cost and depends on what Sorokin does, I would imagine. It's possible he can buy his way out when there's one year left on his deal, so Rinne would be an excellent bridge to him and I'd even consider extending Rinne...on the right contract. Something like a 2 year extension to ease Sorokin in, maybe.
But I'd be upset if they paid a fortune for Rinne. He has a full-NMC clause though, so who knows if he'd even consider it. |
