if he wins the cup, we're looking at 16m per. At some point we have to draw a line here - Nucker101
Is there a price you can put on success?
As long as half his actual cost is around his value, I'll be happy.
50 percent retained, trade at this deadline or immediately for 2firsts and a third. |

#Canucks Benning says team still looking at changes to coaching staff. Didn’t want to go deep, but couldn’t say entire staff would return next season
What's this about?? - LeftCoaster

Wasn't sold NB was the right guy for the D.....didnt suck, just didn't stand out and excel. |

Cool your jets, no need to react with rage and anger to innocuous internet comments that do not attack or denigrate you in any way.

Gilman is an intelligent guy but he's not GM material, which is why he can't get a fulltime GM job.
Seven million a year for Kane is too much, Wilson will regret that. I like Kane, as a player, but that's still too much in my opinion. |

Gilman and Dubas? weird. Imo they need a “hockey guy” in there to balance out that front office. |

a break from canuck stuff, what do you think Tampa should do following their SO game 7 loss ?
some will say move GM or coach out, rebuild roster etc.
personally I think nothing drastic....replacing rick bowness would be a good start - SMBDragon
Just for clarity, I've highlighted the spot where you've said that changes should be made in Tampa.
Firing an assistant coach is a change.
Using the rules of the English language, by suggesting that, it "would be a good start"would inherently imply that more changes should be made. This implication is instantly and automatically assumed when placed in a sentence such as the one that you used.
I wasnt and am not attacking you, nor am I denigrating you in any way. Instead I am merely pointing out that you did write what I said that you wrote, and I don't need to be attacked by you for pointing that out.
That concludes our English lesson for the day.
Thanks for playing
Personally I don't think that they should fire any of the coaching staff in Tampa. |

OV was the only NHL player to publicly state that he wanted to play in the Olympics even after the NHL had said there was no chance of that happening. He kept saying he was going to go no matter what the NHL said or did. Neither Sidney Crosby or Connor McDavid or any Canadian NHL player said they were going to abandon their team in the middle of the season to try and win a gold medal at the Olympics.
See: http://www.cbc.ca/sports/...pics-nhl-russia-1.4291095
It wasn't until the NHL threatened to suspend any players that left their team and the IIHF saying they would honor those suspensions making any NHL player ineligible that OV finally backed down. So yeah, there's that. - DariusKnight
Your original implication was that the reason he wanted to go was because the NHL wasn't going, therefor it'd be easy for him to (finally) win something. He just wanted to play for his country, in the Olympics, because that matters to him. Lots of people came out stating their disappointment and regret, he's just brash and took it one step further.
It's one of those situations where your personal feelings dictate how you perceive something... don't like him? POS. Like him? Fierce competitor. Much like the whole NFL kneeling debate.
Lots of players came out and said they wanted to play on that stage and that they were disappointed the NHL wasn't going, he just said it in a bold Russian way. So what. - LeftCoaster
