You're crazy, put OEL on the second pairing with juolevi, secondly, Dobson is a RHD, you should have Hughes there.
Other then that, solid lineup. - Pres.cup
i also forgot about Gunnarsson as the 7th dman
sleeper prospect |

extremely bizarre both teams in SCF were built by McPhee. Apparently finally he has the correct formula.
No matter who wins it looks good on McPhee |

if he wins the cup, we're looking at 16m per. At some point we have to draw a line here |

How many Russians will be signing NHL deals if OV wins a Cup? |

in the last CBA was it not capped at 12M for max salary?
think S webers contract was maxed for term and salary at around 14M for a few seasons, but the base salary is 1M and 13M in bonus |

thank you that clears that up.
It's always 20% of the cap then. So its gone from 7.8M 1st year to 15M this year.
NHL said its expects 78-82M cap for the coming season so 15.6 - 16.4M max player salary |

a break from canuck stuff, what do you think Tampa should do following their SO game 7 loss ?
some will say move GM or coach out, rebuild roster etc.
personally I think nothing drastic....replacing rick bowness would be a good start |

VGK all the way, I do not want OV anywhere NEAR the Cup, he was willing to say F-U to his team to play in Winter Olympics just so that he could finally win an Olympic Gold Medal because the NHL wasn't going to go. - DariusKnight
Lol, that’s a pretty big leap. Have any evidence to back that up?
He wanted to go play in the Olympics to play for his country. That’s all; NHL or not. He’s fiercely Russian: I’m sure if he was Canadian some people would be praising his patriotism.
He also said that, didn’t act on it. Sooo...? |

They don't need to do much. Conference final team could very well be next year too. |

No need for Carlson. Better off going after Skinner from CAR so he can be injured all year with Tanev. |

Man they've got a good team I wouldn't change much. It's hard to win the Cup. Stamkos and Kucherov were doing nothing 5 on 5, those two needed to be better. |

OV was the only NHL player to publicly state that he wanted to play in the Olympics even after the NHL had said there was no chance of that happening. He kept saying he was going to go no matter what the NHL said or did. Neither Sidney Crosby or Connor McDavid or any Canadian NHL player said they were going to abandon their team in the middle of the season to try and win a gold medal at the Olympics.

It wasn't until the NHL threatened to suspend any players that left their team and the IIHF saying they would honor those suspensions making any NHL player ineligible that OV finally backed down. So yeah, there's that. |

True Tampa is still a very deep club. I didn't watch much of the games but Stamkos and Kucherov were shutdown completely by WAS the last two games. Trotz must have worked a new system in or something. |

Lots of players came out and said they wanted to play on that stage and that they were disappointed the NHL wasn't going, he just said it in a bold Russian way. So what. |

Exactly. Nothing wrong with what he said or how he said it. Nice to see a professional player be so passionate about their country. |

bingo, thats how it's done.
I was reading (Im not normally in another teams blogs) the vegas blog and the writer had some great observations about the team system on several levels.
http://www.hockeybuzz.com...ense-Underrated/244/93032
Shows their D system and fore-check. Well written and researched.
I knew gallant was great with systems, which is why I wanted him here. They have it going on in every area. Players are well taught and know where to be positionally for the system. Excellent play and an excellent blog |
