Yes we need both

You need guys that know how to play with skilled guys though, not just guys that are tough guys

- Stripes77

We have tough guys though.

Guys that are tough to watch, amirite?

...I'm out

So, is Kim posturing to squeeze the taxpayers of NYS, ErieCounty, and Buffalo into paying the lion share of the new statium...or are they planning to sit tight for an extended period at The Ralph?
- IonSabres

She is being a smart businesswoman.
Who likes to pay more taxes then required by law?

Jeter was a Florida resident too. While playing for the yankees.

They are going to build a stadium with help from my fellow NY citizens. I'm sure the pegulas will be chipping in as well

She's working the system that is in place.

She would be foolish to say the Pegulas are going to pay for it outright. It doesn't make sense business wise

Exactly, I'm impressed with her.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think she's pretty crafty and I admire her work ethic.

She also is coming in conveniently at the right time in both organizations.

This is fascinating to me. The wisdom de rigeur is that speed and skill is the way to get into - and advance - in the playofffs. And then somebody comes along and plays heavy hockey, and all the fast skilled guys start looking over their shoulders or coughing up the puck. And then we all say "We need guys who are hard to play against."

We need BOTH.

- Der Kaiser

Caps tem was both in that series.
I'm a huge Bolts fan, but my God Caps outplayed them 6-1/2 games out of the 7.
Tampa had a few lucky breaks....last night they were in 2nd gear, I believe mostly because the Caps "brought it" in spades...fast and hard physical game...punishing checks wore down and made

You sir are right...we DO NEED BOTH ... quite hard to find though.

I said it last night

it seems tampa was over cycling the puck, rather than a pass pass pass shoot

at times it was like the simpsons soccer seen to start the game

I left after 40 minutes as it was clear holtby was on and tampa was off their game

Evader Kane on San Jose: "I've played for a couple of organizations and this one, by far, blows by the rest."

Way to throw shade at the organization that got you out of Winnipeg and into a Sharks organization with a rich $49M contract.

honestly I think it's best to wait until we are 10 games into the next season and see who we have and who is really stinking

hit the reset button and give them a fresh start, again

I thought he would be more dominant this year than he was, but still high hopes. He is exactly the "type" of defender we needed this whole time. We'll see if he can take it to the next level though and become that solid top4 defender I thought he'd be.

Washington played a complete playoff desperation type game

There were times Tampa was too but they didn't/couldn't sustain it the entire game.

I know it's cliché but it looked like Washington really wanted it more

That seems a lot more fair. Ditching him this offseason seems like a bit reactionary. I can buy into that.

So, let me get this straight.
You guys are all good for signing up for increased taxes at the NYS, EC & BFLo levels to fund a new stadium that is used nearly exclusively for a private sector profit scheme...all the while the base investment by the private Franchise is escalating in market value at a very, very quick rate?

Ok then!!

No cliché, effort is a large part of the sport. I thought the Caps would come to play after Ovie's comments about that game being the biggest of his career.

too late then for 2018-19 season with that caphit, unless you plan to trade him after July 1st 2019 in time for the 2019-20 season

When he scored the games first goal it was already in the bag

Career playoff goals:

Crosby 66
Malkin 62
Ovechkin 59

Career playoff games:
Crosby 160
Malkin 158
Ovechkin 117

But you know Ovi is a choker in the playoffs

That is hardly shade. After all, the Sharks are a very well-respected organization in the league. Also, don't forget that we've had clowns running our organization for much of his time here.

I am a Buffalo Bill's season ticket holder, so from a fan prospective, a new stadium would be nice.

I'm sure the pegulas will be chipping in, as I previously mentioned.

Also : why would they pay when other teams get help?

They already funded the harbor center, but yeah, that doesn't count, it was a few years ago?
