I think he is a good 3rd liner and he does step up in the playoffs if he just cost Gus I think it’s a good deal he’s a UFA next year so you could possibly trade him for a 3rd or 2nd Depending on the year he has

I like Nylander, he's highly talented, only 20, and still has time to right the ship. But we want a winger for Jack now, and Nylander has 1 NHL goal and 8 NHL games under his belt. I think they'd move him for Kessel.

I'm not sure how easily we can more the S.J. 1st. There are still conditions on it that effect us. If they miss the playoffs and defer the pick to 2020, then the S.J. 4th round pick in the detail becomes a 3rd rounder. I think we might have to wait until next year until we know definitely what S.J. will do with the pick before we can truly use it as an asset to trade in a deal.

Kessel is coming off a career year in points. He is an absolute beast. But he will be 31 when the season starts. Also, according to Capfriendly, he had a modified NMC. He gives the Pens a list of eight teams he'd be willing to go to. Can't picture the Sabres making that list.

I get the feeling that the pegulas want to play hockey in a football stadium more often. More revenue, unique situation to own both teams and build a dual purpose entertainment facility. At least a few games a year

Regarding Kessel - not interested. Wrong age, wrong time frame (for the Sabres) and wrong salary. We need to be getting rid of big contracts to old(er) players, not taking them on. I would rather Nylander be put on 1LW than Kessel.

Key Bank Center is over 20 years old. It's not a spring chicken compared to the other arenas in the league.

However I think major renovations will happen there isn't of building a new building considering how they just built the Harbor Center and the two building are attached.

The 300 level needs a complete overhaul

The seats needs to be redone.

However an area makes more money for the county over a football field mostly because the arena is used a helluva lot more. So maybe the county would rather foot the bill for an arena over a football field

I imagine the new arena would somehow connect to the current harbor center. I'm not an architect, but there's room behind the arena.
