OJ is a slick D that will fill a hole.
Guds is locked up and fills that big D hole.
Demko will cock block and keep the opposition from scoring.
Peterson, boeser and bo will score from the front, bodqvist will pound it from the rear with way more force then a little D gets credit for. - Pres.cup

Stechers problem is his muffin shot. - VANTEL
ANd his defensive coverage, and his Chicken little the sky is falling chasing puck carriers around.
I know it’s just banter about who should be traded, but Tanev should stay as a DEFENSIVE dman and Hutton and everyone’s new favourite Stecher should be traded. |

yes thats what Im saying as well.
I was surprised they even made this one, there'd be much better star wars stories to make with yoda being the most needed and likely best story - myself
I disagree, solo and boba fet have the best back stories in the expanded universe.
Yoda is the jar jar of 4to 6. |

I am all for trading Tanev this year but I wouldn't mind seeing him play with OJ for six months to get him started - VANTEL
The last thing I want OJ to be is like Tanev. |

Yes, in his first season he showed he has offensive instincts. Second season stats show he was actually one of the best penalty killers in the league, took him awhile to earn Greens trust, but im willing to bet Stech breaks out this year. - phyllee
Those same stats that Canucks Army used for Stetcher on the PK show that Hutton is one of the best defenders on the team at 5v5 so...yea. |

You're getting him for Bennett and a first... err... a second.... oh snap.... you don't have any picks left. - Pres.cup

Goldy and Dolly for Hansen and burrows is better then the 2 thirds that he would have got as picks. Same with lipstick and what's his name for scraps and old scraps. Have patience with vantel, he's building up the prospect pool and we'll be competitive before you know it. - Pres.cup
The Dahlen move is great, hopefully, Goldobin was good as well, he's a good player. Leipsic is a good move too. However. We're talking about kids with potential right now, not proven young guys where you can say, "ok, we've arrived at the next step".
For me I want to see what those kids can do this year and then maybe say that. I'm just not there yet. |

Lol - two seconds is not a steal! Benning would be run out of town if he made that trade. Move him at the tdl after he plays w OJ for 2/3rds of a season - CanuckDon
No.....take the two seconds and the prospect! Draft three times in the second round this year and be happy because you'll get a couple good players and you're a year ahead of next years draft. |

But the fact is they will be here next year and you need to surround them with players like Tanev Edler Bo and Sutter to ease them into the league. |

I am using last years team . Hutton out OJ in . Neilssen out Demko in . Henrik out EP in . There should not be that big of a falloff seeing those players did not have wonderful years. - VANTEL
I can see what your trying to do ...but realistically all 3 won’t be improvements for one reason or another ...2/3 sure I can see it ...but whether it’s injuries or player just not being nhl ready yet indiubt all 3 have better years |

Trading Tanev is not going to change that, they don't need him to develop young kids. Might as well see if the twins want to play another year.
Gudbranson is a vet, Edler is a vet, MDZ is a vet and you can sign another vet if required. |

Don is right. 2 seconds for Tanev is mediocre.
It’s a tough spot because it makes sense to shop him based on his age/durability, but his value is likely lower than it should be.
Philly is in a similar spot with Simmonds
Imo both GM’s should hold until the TDL |

We finished 6 th last year , It is not a bold statement to say we will finish 2 spots higher |

This too
I’d rather try to unload MDZ at the TDL for a 2nd instead of Tanev for 2 seconds.
Maybe play MDZ with Tanev to increase his value |

I don't think he's worth more than that for two reasons 1) other GM's take advantage of Benning .... 2) his injury history right now.
To me they need to take a high 1st for him or get two 2nd's, they don't need him next year, they do need the picks IMO though! |

And they said Cody Franson was a legit top 4 dman who couldn’t get a contract until September lol
They are flawed for sure, some newer ones are pretty good(I like the zone entry ones), but just looking at corsi alone is stupid

Sell because you need to take advantage of getting the picks and building for the future. Stop sitting around waiting for things to happen, make them happen!!
Selling Tanev won't affect the present one bit. |
