hope the full tank is on this year.
Resign: Granlund, Baertschi, Virtanen, Dowd (1 yr deal), Pouliot, Stecher & let the young guys play. Stay away from the expensive FAs unless Tavares. Trade Edler & Hutton for the TDL (will not happen but a guy can dream). Let Juolevi game for one more year before he comes over.
Goldobin Horvat Boeser
Pettersson Sutter Eriksson
Baertschi Granlund Gagner
Leipsic Gaudette Virtanen
HS: Motte - Gaunce - Dowd
Edler Tanev
MDZ Gudbranson
Pouliot Biega
Hutton
Markstrom Nilsson - DutchSenators
You forgot to put OEL and Skinner in there.

Upping his value There is no reason the Canucks should ice the same Dcore as the passed two years with bottom finishes. Management can only use injuries as an excuse for so many years. |

Pettersson plays RW not LW, he also isn't going to play in the defensive role with Sutter.
Granlund has been tried at center, it doesn't work.
Virtanen is now better on the Left.
Leipsic played 4th line in Vegas and was limited in scoring. In van given more minutes, his production increased. I doubt it would be smart to put him back on the 4th line with Van's already limited production. - manvanfan
I'm interested to see where chemistry is going to come into play. We make all these lines with people we think will mesh, but as we've seen with Burrows sometimes it's not always complete high-end guys playing together.
If EP finds chemistry with Leipsic (who I quite like) or JV, I think that helps open a lot more combos up Of course, EP playing center in a couple year would benefit a lot. |

I love trades but this is one year you need to keep him and possibly get another vet or two. Pettersson Demko and OJ will be on the roster and with an already very young roster you need some vets. |

This is Jim Benning we're talking about, I think he'll go with Edler, Tanev, Gudbranson, MDZ, Stecher, Hutton, Pouliot & Biega next year again. |

I'm hoping he trades some of them for draft picks and signs a few ufa's but I'm not betting on it. |

For one thing I think OJ will be in the lineup. He has already said he has talked about a center with other teams and Elliot Freidman said yesterday Canucks are inquiring about Hanifin. I think this will be an active Canuck summer. |

I still think they have too many small soft forwards. I'm okay with smaller forwards as long as there is still a sprinkle of bigger, stronger, faster forwards.
Leipsic, Eriksson, Goldy, Baertschi play soft.
Gagner, Granlund, Boeser, middle of the row.
Horvat
Virtanen, Gaunce, Sutter play a little stronger game.
As you can see by the list, other then JV and Horvat Van doesn't really have too many bigger, faster, forwards.
Tkachuk could be a good fit.
EP coming in soon and he's a bit soft. |

Leipsic has to be higher in the lineup ...he looked better than anyone not named bo or Brock last year in his limited time as a Canuck

Draft a Dman, or Wahlstrom. Trade for Domi, probably wouldnt cost too much. Him and Bo already have the chemistry, maybe Bo could even hook him up with the same skating coach |

I don't really want to see him over pay for free agents and get stuck with bad contracts.
At the same time the players they have on defence don't gel together. |

Just don’t give out 6 year deals
Any deal around 4 years or under won’t really hurt the Canucks
Preferably 3 years and under but still it won’t matter |

If you want to see a better Brady, he needs a more skilled center then Bo. He was much better playing with Mittelstadt at WJ then Bowers at BU. |

I guess we'll find out. Not sure about the Hanifin thing, if they use their 7th overall for that I'd be hugely disappointed. |

lol...I wish. Bottom line is Tanev does not make this team a better hockey club. Not when he's playing less than 40 games per year. If he makes 60 games this season it's bye bye time. - LordHumungous
Five seasons straight of playing more than 40 games.
