Fans were clamouring for Hamhuis too, it’s cool at first but after awhile it’s the same as any other player on the team

Plus with Kane there’s the powerforward that everyone wants

Pretty terrible once it gets going. The lead up is fun, just a big street party. We were directed a back route to where they actually dump the tomatoes out of the trucks, so were knee deep at one point. That was the worst: old, somewhat rotten, really hot tomatoes. Getting guts in the eye. But if you have a good arm, it's pretty fun to just pick people off across the very small street from you.

Walking back to the buses, sweating, the Spanish sun, covered in tomatoes is disgusting. One of those things you only ever need to do once in your life.

I don't think it is just because he is from Vancouver. He may be an a-hole but he's a fast skater, he hits and he puts up points. I think that is the more attractive part vs him being from here.

When I talk to fans about potential additions... none of them go "oh wow, I'd love that, he's local....". Never. I really think the media presents this as a bigger factor than it really is. I think it's a failed marketing strategy for Vancouver even.

Maybe the owner likes it. 23 local players have to buy a lot of tickets for their own games.

Canucks shouldn’t go after NH unless it’s an underpay ...if the canes are willing to part with a 21 year old top 5 pick it shouldn’t be for another high first round pick

I could see Canes interested in Sutter . He had good years there and is a very effective seasoned pro.

Yeah, but the young guys they have are pretty solid in all 3 zones. Not like it’s a bunch of Jake Gardiner’s and Morgan Reilly’s

If anything, if I were them I’d look to potentially trade a dman for a scorer


They need legit top 6 talent and a decent goalie and they’ll be a threat.
