Racist..... I don't care where they are from as long as they can play.
I like bodqvist, he lit up the lower leagues before playing in a pro top men's league as a 17yo.
He's got wheels and a cannon as well as superb offensive instincts, if he can learn D, he'll be the 2nd best d out off this draft.

I know, you tell us that twice daily.
He is the 1 player in the top 31 rankings I absolutely do not want, Hughes is next.

Does anyone know what the return was supposed to be for sutter and his deal to the ducks? And when that was going to happen?

Any rumors on what it would cost to get hanifin?

Hasnt he always thought to be on "the list".

4 forwards and 2-3 D. Dahlin being a dream but the years of a RHD PP, kind of says Dobson and Boqvist. Bouchard could be but seems less likely. I think with Hughes performance at WC, he probably made his way onto the list.

Benning said yesterday"He reminds him of a young Karlsson" . That is pretty high praise.

Big question is how the other GM's feel.

JB has said he likes 4 forwards. Svech, Zads, Walhy, Tkachuk are currently top rated. (depending on who you talk too) Unless JB has another in there.

If they are left with Tkachuk and Dobson and Hughes are still on the board. Do you think he trades down? If this team isn't going to be better this year. As of right now, next year projects to have more forward depth then this season.

At some point in time, got to draft D. I'm always for taking BPA with your highest pick. When do you consider taking a D over a F. Forwards always look more appealing unless it's Dahlin type.

OJ is the only D taken in the first 2 rounds since Yann Suave in the 2nd round. No wonder the D cupboards are pretty well empty.

My top 15 players. I would accept anyone of these.

This is not how I think they will get picked. These are just the players I like in that order.

If Hughes is still there, take him and run. He is going to be unreal, plus aside from the assumed first 4 picks (Tkachuk being the 4th) he is the closest to NHL ready

I like Hughes, he's probably going to be a very good player. At the same time, there are no D under 6' that are presumed #1 D in the league. That would still leave Van needing a potential #1 D.

And 5'11" Boqvist is closer to 6' then 5'10" and a entire year younger

I think Canucks will extend Edler this year for 4 more years.
I think OJ will make the team.
I think Sautner will come on board in the next two years.
I am hoping we make a trade for a Dman
Benning said yesterday he is not looking to move Tanev.
Gudbrandson is signed for three year.

It is not the best not the worst. We do need two specialist . One that can shoot the puck and one that can set up the PP.

I don't believe we are as in bad of shape as most think. Replace/upgrade one at a time. There is no panic.

I would be thrilled if we got Miller McIssac or Bahl with the second round pick and addressed scoring with the first round pick.

I think it's wrong not to move Tanev at this point. He's not helping, he doesn't help. He can't because he doesn't play.

I don't think they are in bad shape. I think they are where they should be considering what JB started with. It's just like every other team that sucked and then made a big jump. Van's jump will happen. Winning a draft lottery spot like the rest of them would help also.

I agree with most.

Tanev as much as I want to trade would probably be best to keep him paired with OJ until TDL . Hopefully his value goes up.

Benning will never be a successful GM until he changes his thought process, imo he can't see past his nose to the future. His "M.O." is his mind is always in the now, trading Tanev is a move towards the future and imo he should be traded.

Maybe now is not the time? What if the offers are not there? Last I heard the offer was 2 second rounders and a B prospect.

Two second rounders and a prospect for Tanev is a steal, I'm running with that offer. He's gotta trade him at the draft imo, he's always stuck trying to be competitive and failing but he keeps trying. When will he add picks not subtract? When will he have his eye on the future of the club?

Finishing near the bottom doesn't mean he's got his eye on the future, it just means he's sucked at the present despite his attempts to be good. He needs to stop worrying about now and acquire more draft picks.

I am all for trading Tanev this year but I wouldn't mind seeing him play with OJ for six months to get him started

Yes, in his first season he showed he has offensive instincts. Second season stats show he was actually one of the best penalty killers in the league, took him awhile to earn Greens trust, but im willing to bet Stech breaks out this year.

I am not knocking Stecher . I am pointing out that is a pretty weak RH side overall.
The first guy I would look to move and upgrade is Gudbrandson.

Stecher is the last guy I would look to move
