Sounds good to me
That was a nice write up
I remember hearing his name spoken of for playing well in that U18 tourney that was mentioned in the article
McKenzie & Button have him ranked 41 & 50,
so i think there’s a decent chance he actually could be there for us
I’d be happy with that pick - jdfitz77
They've got him a bit higher here, but no idea on their accuracy.

I would love to see the Sabres work a trade with Arizona for the 5th pick...thereby selecting one of Boqvist or Bouchard...to be Dalin’s partner on the RD side. I would lean a bit more towards Bouchard who apparently is more steady in his own end.
Wondering what it would take? |

I could see the draft unfolding like...
1) Sabres - Dahlin
2) Canes - Zadina, better suited for LW where they are weaker in the pipeline
3) Canadians - Svechnikov
4) Sens - Tkachuk or Wahlstrom
At 5 that leaves a bunch of D open, even if The Sens take one of the D over the 2 forwards above.
Sabres D with Bouchard as the pick would be awesome for a decade...
Dahlin - Bouchard
Guhle - Risto
McCabe - Nelson
Who cares (Borgen, Bryson)
That frees-up Scandella & Bogo for trades in 2019 offseason. |

I like it!
Would like it better if we could replace our 1st with SJS’ pick. |

The more I think of this, the more and more I like it.
Domi - Eichel - Okposo
Bailey - Casey - Reino
Olofsson/Smith - ERod - Baptiste
Wilson - Girgenson - Pommer
Dahlin - Risto (then Bouchard)
Guhle - Bogo (then Risto)
McCabe - Nelson

And I wonder about Pu....they liked him a lot last year at camp ... after a slow start when returning to Jrs, he came on very strong. He could be in the mix to jump to the bigs if he impresses again. |

That’s offer is overpaying on our part your giving them ROR for a player that is at a low value ( and I love max)
And you toss in nylander a 8th overall pick ) and a first next year
So your basically giving ROR, nylander for max
The 5th and the next years first is a wash |

People have to stop throwing in our first next year unless it’s part of a package for 2nd this year |

No it's not, at least AZ wouldnt -and shouldn't - consider it as such.
They don't know where we're going to pick. We could finish 7th worst and slide down to 10.
They wouldn't trade a sure 5 OA straight up for next year's first, that's for sure |

Athanasiou doesn't really bring enough to the table to justify moving the best 2nd round pick (which is essentially first overall after a few calculations)
Daley sucks - Sabresfan-365
He does now, but acquiring him for Scuderi back in 2016 was a huge reason for their turnaround. |

ROR 1st ( lottery protected) , Jake for weber, Alex g , 2nd

You're not getting lottery protection, and Montreal is picking 3rd, not second |

Thats why we're discussing what MIGHT happen.
Because if he was telling the Sabres to suck rocks, he and his family would have just spent a year in Rochester and would be looking forward to another year there.
So, the speculation is that we did him a favor, and he is going to return it for the opportunity to move his family to where he planned to settle down after his career was over.
Its very Odd to pay a guy 5m to play for another teams AHL team. - seedy
Monkeys MIGHT fly, but I DOUBT matt moulson does the organization a favor and retires without collecting millions of $.
It's very odd to have a guy retire instead of collecting the balance of his contract.
When he signed the 5 year 25 million dollar deal, his agent gets his chunk. I cant imagine how that conversation would go between matt and his agent.
Hey agent, my tummy is upset because I'm getting paid to not play by billion $ owners. It's been weighing heavy on my conscience, I need to give them 3 million $ , because they have showed me loyalty.
Agent- NO |

Adding in our first without being lottery protected is not good there is zero chance this team is going go from straight garbage to a team that is out of the top 10

If you want Zadina or Svechnikov, you're going to almost assuredly include next year's 1st, without any lottery protection either. |
