I don’t think there is a chance in hell that the Canes or the Habs trade out of 2-3.
Sens might out of 4, but I doubt that too.
The over payment would need to be huge, and I don’t think the Sabres have it, nor should spend it to get into that position.

I would rather draft another gifted D at 5 or 6 than a forward there simply because I think a) easier to find wingers, and b) Good Dmen are more valuable especially as trade currency.

Well then they need to add to it in my mind, I do like those two.
But if I’m able to draft Bouchard with their 1st, then Borgen becomes expendable.
Letting go of Asplund is tough as I see him as the replacement for a ROR in a year...but they have Davidsson who is touted much the same as Asplund, just projected about a year behind.
I’d want Brandon Perlini back then....we could add our 32nd.

Domi should get you 20 & 30 with Jack, he can fly and set-up Jack while finishing Jack’s saucy set-ups.

The real upgrade is securing Bouchard as you bonafide #2 on Dahlin’s right for next 10 years.
