Not the same thing. Murray was a clown
- sbroads24

It is the same thing, he made changes way to fast and spent to much and we are worse off now then we were before money wise. Has nothing to do if Murray was a moron or not.

We wouldn’t be spending a bunch of picks and prospects to get Tavares.

I don’t think we should spend just to spend.

Spending to get a top 5-10 Center is never bad. Never.

So we sign JT who is the same Age as ROR and a elite superstar

How is that bad ?

You then trade ROR for a boatload and build the roster

It’s the smartest thing to do

Thank god we won’t be signing a superstar. Thank god.

This fan base is outta their minds.

There were people hoping we didn’t sign Stamkos, as he was in game 7 of the ECF this year.

Thank god we don’t play important games like those.

What’s the conversation at this point?

We are the worst team ever to be too good for a superstar

No, O'Reilly, Asplund, and Borgen in place of your proposal.
- kingcong39

I’d want more back.

Arizona sends
- 2018 1st, 5th OA
- Domi
- Perlini

Buffalo sends
- ROR
- Asplund
- Borgen

Buffalo
- drafts RD Bouchard to be Dahlin eventual RD partner for a decade
- has Davidsson to replace Asplund
- Domi to ride on Eichel’s Wing...both feed off each other with set-ups & finishing talents
- Perlini fills 2 LW on Mitts and Reino Line.

I like it.

I remember, especially at the beginning of last season and on the PP, Eichel was getting double, triple teamed at all times. I think it will really help having Dahlin and even Mitts this year to take some pressure off of Eichel. I still think we need a scoring LW to play on Jack's line to really push both Jack and this team to the next level. Adding that, Dahlin, and a competent goaltender will go a long way in getting the Sabres out of the NHL basement.

And this is the only reason the great ROR’s PP goal total doubled.

He had wide open looks because teams took Eichel’s shots away.

You forgot Bailey and Baptiste. This is year 3 in a row they are going to actually make the team
- sbroads24

At least one of them has to. After 5 years of development, how much longer do they need to make a last place team?

Is Davidsson anywhere close to Asplund? I never really hear about the kid.

Good post. Getting that competent goaltending isn't a given. Curious to see what they do there.

With a heavy heart, I agree with this. At one point, I thought both could make it. At the beginning of last season, I was desperate for one of the to make it. Time has almost run out. Now, because the roster is so light of quality wingers, one should have a shot in the beginning of the year.

Packaged together, what could possibly be the return? Added to a sweetener in a bigger deal, how far could they possibly move the needle?
