I think uncle Huge he's selling. It will be before LeBreton Flat. The Project is part of the deal.

I hope so. They just need someone that will let the people manage and hire enough good people. Let the people do their job.

Pay a really good coach to come it - rather than keep paying to switch.

Dan Bylsma
Lindy Ruff
Dave Tippett
Alain Vigneault

All good options and some would argue better than Boucher (but I'm good with Boucher more so than the owner)

Sell it to AlfieIsKing, then delete his account.

Only a retired reporter like this lady would have printed those comments - anyone still on the active sports beat in Ottawa (or anywhere else) would be black-listed for this sort of reporting. Alfredsson is 100% right in his assessment, however I can see why he didn't want those comments going public.

This isn’t necessarily unsurprising news, but it is nice to hear it confirmed

This sentence kind of hurts my brain.

It isn't necessarily as non-bad as what you'd unwritten that one time after not dechanging your post.

Regardless, if there's substantial doubt about Karlsson re-signing, then they should be seriously looking at one of the high-end scoring d-men with the #4 pick. Their draft record shows they can pick effective forwards from the later rounds, but the first round is almost exclusively when their most effective defencemen are taken. Personally, I think Boqvist might be the most natural fit with the team, but I know there are a lot of people loving the idea of picking Tkachuk.

As an outsider it strikes me as odd that Alfie, having cashed millions of dollars in cheques signed by Mr. Melnyk, now chooses to slam the guy.
Ungrateful entitled sense of self importance, in my view.

Your a f*cking idiot. Alfie has earned every dollar he made and was underpaid for years

Melynk wants to make millions off players but doesn't want to pay the big ones

Alfie was never really underpaid, his contracts were just front end loaded. He was paid less for his last year or two because it was an easy out if he retired and he chose to keep playing.

No one put a gun to his head, he signed the contract and got rich off of it.

When I say underpaid I mean he was paid less than what he was worth or relative to other players and what they brought to their respective teams. When Alfie was making 5.4m and other players were making 6, 7, 7.5m, there's something wrong there. Let's not forget Alfredsson put up 103 points.

Melynk is getting rich off his players so let's not even go there. No one put a gun to his head doesn't make sense - no one put a gun to Melynk's head when he bought the team (and he did save the team, no ones arguing that) but since he did, he then needs to invest in players and pay them what their worth.

Erik Karlsson is worth 8 years 10-11m a season. Anything less than 10 is a bargain and anything over 11 is too much

Sure, he was a very good player for many years. He also earned US $54,128,356 in his career.
It's a two way street. He brings world class hockey skill, Melynk writes cheques. I just don't think it's right to bite the hand that fed you. But that's just my opinion to which one of the other bloggers says I am a "F-ing idiot"
I thought the idea of forums like this was to exchange ideas and share opinions.

You have a terrible misunderstanding of the owner-player relationship. Bite the hand that feeds you? Sure, with the food you brought to the party. Eugene did not feed Alfie, Alfie fed Eugene. There has never been single sports fan that has payed the price of a ticket to watch the owner own a team. There has never been a single TSN highlight of an owner owning a team. The money that Eugene makes from the sens is made because of the players.

You're** an idiot.

Arizona isn't going to extend Hjalmarsson.

They will have the pick of Bouchard or Boqvist - it makes sense that they would be open to adding a young + cheaper piece.

Ask 30 GMs and see if they would rather have Ceci or Hjalmarsson. At worst it's close to a tie

"there haven’t been many calls about defenceman Cody Ceci"
http://ottawasun.com/spor...hortage-of-nhl-trade-talk

thats from 2018 from Garrioch...so no I wouldnt say that 30 other GMs would want Ceci over him. Guys value is trash now bc hes not a good dman and the only thing Sens fans claim is that he is good bc he logs a lot of minutes.

A non offensive, non physical, Dman who has underwhelming controlled zone exits, who has poor possession numbers. Hes just a warm body Dman that doesnt do anything note worthy. Just gets over used and over exposed bc hes not good enough for the ice time the sens are stupid enough to give him

I dont know why you make such claims, almost every time you get proven incorrect with easy to find facts, I dont even think you follow the local coverage of your own team, just spit off wild claims and then call people a troll w hen you get embarrassed with your bad takes
