Contract year Hanifin scores 10 , 2 previous years 4
Canucks had a Dman about 3 years ago who scored 11 . Can't think of his name Yannik Weber |

Can we give up our 7th OA for him, maybe include OJ, or Demko Lind DiPietro.
Our prospect pool is overflowing and everyone of them will pan out, we can afford to give up a few for a player with offensive instincts and questionable defense. |

I have questions about Hughes Dobson and Bouchard but I would rather take a chance on them than making another mistake trading first round picks.
Our scouting staff had a very good draft last year , why not repeat |

Alex Edler had two more points than Hanifin last season. I get that Hanifin would help but we need to be patient here. |

Nothing wrong with building through the draft and filling in needed spots when you are almost there, right now we are not almost there.
I watch 10 or so Carolina games a year, and find them too be a team on the verge of breaking through, withinin the next season or so.
Hanifin has been a questionable player for them as he is a puckwatcher at both ends of the ice, highly overrated by many on here , I see. |

Carolina built through the Draft , Nashville same thing,
I have no problem moving guys like Sven Hutton and others but keep our draft picks |

Been told, very positive talks between the #Canucks and goalie Michael DiPietro, look for a deal to get done soon. |

Nope. Juolevi's stock has fallen hard since he was drafted. And Benning reached for him at #5 to begin with. He's not worth nearly what you think he is
Not only that, but the Canes are stocked with superior young talent on the back end. What they need are forward prospects
Obviously you aren't entertaining offers for Pettersson, so I'd say the 7th overall + one of: Gaudette, Demko, or Lind would get it done
It's steep, but look at the premium placed on top-four d-men these days. Adam freaking Larsson netted a potential Hart Trophy winner. And I realize that was Peter Chiarelli's work, but let's be honest.....if there's a GM in this league who's less competent than Chia, it's Benning - AxlRose91
OJ was the top rated D on Bob McKenzies final draft rankings. Which is comprised of scouts and GMs if I believe.
OA ranking of 6 as well.
7OA for a 3-4 Dman. No thanks. Hannifin is a good player, but I look at him and think Jay Bouwmeester type.
Also, if he's gonna be so good, why would Carolina shop him? Cause he's not what they thought he would be. |

Ya, he did.
That year I was hoping too get Mironov or Bure.
I understood he wanted a centre, but, (frank) me, that was a bad pick.
Wasnt really a great draft year though. |

Trying to figure out the player who wasnt on the top 45 list but now might be a first round players. I think its Jack Wise because he did say he would have been an 80 point player. Or possibly Ty Dredella. |
