Montreal can draft 2 guy that will became as good as Letang is in this year draft in the 2nd round... they are not trading them for old grandpa lol Bergevin is smarter then that with his draft picks...maybe to advance in 1st round if they really want a young guy.... he have the potential to make 2 trade to go pick up 2 late 1st rounder...and if he trade PAch for another 1st rounder and more....imagine the draft lol they can still have a 3rd and 3 x 4th rounder to pick up young guy after that.... he got a gold mine in is hand right now... i just can't wait lol

That's what I'm hoping for, I'd like to see him very active in trying to move up and add picks, lots of scenarios to do so... The funniest part about that Letang proposal is, it's still a bad deal for Montreal if you have the 3 picks going the other way!!

Rick Nash's production has fallen off a cliff since 2015. Why the Habs would want him is beyond me.

It's the age that's the main issue, Habs are in no position to be adding guys like that!

He must have an amazing agent

I was shocked at the demand for him at the trade deadline
He gets favorable matchups
he starts in the offensive zone a lot.

I just don't see a need to call fans on the character itself dummies!

yeah well is stamina and durability doesn't look so great too...always injured... 31 years old is not that bad, sometime they can play till they get around 38-39... but we need a lefty in better shape...the year he was injured PIT win the stanley cup without him sooo... too risky to give high draft picks

Actually, as a pens fan, this is a nightmare. We don't need Pacs, and who the hell wants Jack Johnson. Also, the stuff with Kessel has waayyy too much too it. Malkin wanted Neal but it didn't stop JR from moving on. I love Phil, but he and Sullivan honestly don't get along.....last player like that was Cole.

So the front runners for Kovalchuk are not surprising at all. Boston, NYI, Dallas, L.A. And Miami. All cities that have what he said his family would be looking for...

You've got it. It's precisely BECAUSE his production has fallen off a cliff--would fit right in with the Habs.

Dunno what game the Hockeybuzz guys were watching & i know there has been a lot of d*** riding going on for Vegas, but that 3rd period last night showed me that the Caps figured it out & this series is over fellas... go back & watch that 5 on 3 where the knights have exactly zero shots! i cant even remember hitting the net at all in the 3rd actually... if the Caps can stay disciplined & play one goal lead hockey, thats it man! Vegas has gotten a lot of luck to even make it this far... (goals, other teams incompetency, & most importantly injuries)

These guys talking about how Kuzy being out will end the series cuz now they will be rolling out Backstrom & Eller as their 1 & 2..? again did u guys watch? Eller-Backstrom-Vrana were together & they were the best line on the ice by a mile.. expect to see that line do the heavy lifting & put these clowns away so we never have to speak of them again!

As good as Eller has played this season to date, he's 30 so he's running on empty & at any time can just drop.
