I know this is far from over but Washington is equally as well coached as Vegas, they're watching a lot of film and adjusting to the Knights game.

I don't know about equally...... maybe close to Gallant, but Trotz is no green.

LEFTY!

Did you just copy and paste Ryan Wilson's first couple of paragraph's yesterday?

Today is combine day for NHL draft prospects. This is a day where they are expected to show off all of their non-hockey related skills in an effort to impress general managers and scouts from around the league.

How long can this player ride this bike until he pukes? How many pull ups can this player do? How high can they jump?! It’s all so overblown. Yes, being strong is advantageous. However, hockey is a dynamic sport and these kinds of tests are probably doing more harm than good for general managers. How many times do you think a general manager has been steered towards a bad decision because of the combine versus a good one? You have so many hours of video of these players actually playing hockey and I’m willing to bet some of these kids are being drafted due to their bench press.

Instead of wasting your time with long jump scores why don’t the teams invest in tracking zone entries/exits, possession, rate stats, and passing data. If you focused on those things and completely ignored the combine I’m willing to bet the teams that did that would be way better off.

The combine is a place that talks you out of drafting Casey Mittelstadt and into Lawson Crouse.

Chayka said yesterday that all of his scouts have seen these players play at least 15 times. This is just a formality to say hi again . They already have their list before the combine

Who do you think we take? I'm guessing Dobson, not that it means anything because I've been wrong since the JV pick.

Dobson could get picked up before 7 . He is big and had a great Mem Cup.

Unlike Don , I really like Boqvist shot and PP skill. He really needs to work on his D but I could see him helping out in scoring. We haven't really had a regular in years that could shoot the puck. I could see AB scoring 15 as an NHLer in 3-5 years

Hope that's not the case, someone will go off the board.

The rankings change day 2 day now. One guy pets a puppy and moves up 2 spots while another guy farts and drops 4 spots.

I think Dobson and Kotkaniemi have risen and Tkachuk has fallen.

This website now has Wahlstrom at 8

I hope Montreal or Ottawa (frank)s it up.

I'm still fine with taking Dobson, Boqvist, Wahlstrom. Worst case scenario Van gets Tkachuk, Bouchard, Hughes.

They also have Woo at 16.

Lundestrom at 25. He had almost as many points as Lias Andersson who went 7oa last year.

Also has Lenni Killinen at 55. I posted that article about him the other day from Dobber prospects. Sounds like he might be a 5-7 round pick.

The bottom half of his 3rd round is basically all projected to be for sure 2nd rounders.

Who's height and weight should we argue about today.

Jake Wise: 5-10, 195.3

I saw him do some of the tests. He's built for the NHL. I saw shades of Brayden Point when watching him during the u18s

This site changes a hell of a lot . 2 days ago they were more accurate than today. I like this site but take it with a grain of salt.

Yeah, it's a clear preference and damn near impossible to try and put them in an order that NHL teams would pick them. That's why I gave up on doing an actual mock draft this year.

This year I have watched enough prospect hockey to form my own top 50. I concentrated on the top 10 and 31-40 seeing that is where we will pick but in case we get more picks I covered to 50

I am not big on Tkachuk, but, am starting too feel he might be a nice piece for our top 6.
He has said some of the right things recently and adds some snarl.
I would be fine with that if Benning gets some extra picks in the 2nd or 3rd and takes some defenseman there.
Liking Ginning Samuelsson×2 Bahl Bernard Miller McIsaac Tychonik, Bernard-Docker, to name a few, that could be available in the late 1st and into the 2nd.

who knows who takes who?!?
We will only know on draft day. Bottom line!

I recall draft day and not hearing nichushcin and bo horvat in his place. Really like horvat and all but nichuskin was the prize ATM

Tkachuck would definitely be a big add to Canucks but I don't think he is what Jim is looking for . Benning keeps on circling back to Speed .

I keep trimming my list. Down to 45 and 17 of those are probably 1st round quality.

Deceptive speed like Matthews.

1 minute. That's pretty good speed.

Watching these highlights is making me fall in

Bodqvist is 5ft 11.5inches as a17yo, he's gonna be a real man sized player over 6foot tall. I wonder if that moves him up the rankings? I really like him, NHL shot and speed, needs to learn defense.
I like him but don't think he'll fall to us.
