Me too, I don't see either Dobson or Bouchard as any thing more than what you could get in the second round so I'd take the forward. - LeftCoaster

That's too big of a gamble, that's also a Marc Bergevin like bad deal for the Canucks. You're killing depth for a Karlsson type player (maybe). You're trading away three years of building for one great player. It would take too long to recover from that. - LeftCoaster
Dahlin projects way way better then Karlsson.
No D has projected as good as him since..... Orr?
His floor is projected to be Karlsson, his ceiling projects to be 20+g60+a, 2way, better then lindstrom, borque, Foote, hedman, doughty, etc... |

Well then why are you laughing when I put Wahlstrom in as Montreals choice and not Veleno? - VANTEL
I’m not. He goes early. Possibly 2nd. |

It would be crazy not too. |

A few small differences in their draft year stats. - manvanfan
You can't solely base your opinion on points??? When I watched him play three games in the mem cup I'm just telling you what I saw.
I think Roman Jossi had 8 points in 35 gms in his draft year but Zach Bogosian had 61 pts in 60 games and went 3rd overall.
I see what I see....is what I'm saying. |

Svech is going 2nd.... with a bullet. Write me down manvan as guaranteeing that.
Wahlstrom should be the 3rd forward taken, but possibly the 2nd one taken.
Bodqvist will be the 2nd or 3rd d taken. I like him a ton. Unlike Don(burke's throwaway) I appreciate skill over nationality. |

Neither have played in the NHL. So TBD.
Clague fell way too far if you ask me. I had him in the late 1st. - manvanfan
Doesn't matter if they played a game or not. The point is just because they are projected top 10 means nothing. It is a guess at how a 18 year old kid will play when he is 22-30
Rankings are a guideline by a bunch of people that want to tell you how to think |

I get your love for this kind of player but I still wouldn't do that and neither would Buffalo when they could add that kid to their young group. |

One scout called Hughes Bobby Orr. - VANTEL
All the scouts call Dahlin 'Justice with a stick' , the 'adjudicator', 'he who will bring balance to the NHL', he who shall not be stopped' and 'The sure thing'.
Hughes skates like orr, that was the comparison.
What would you give up for a guaranteed HOF, ppg, two way defensemen for life?
I'd trade horvat, boeser, OJ and the 7th |

Not even remotely basing it on points.
Michael Dal Colle had 95 points in 67 games.
Yakupov 69 in 42 games.
For every D bust, there is a F bust.
It's a lot harder for a D to put a ppg then a F. |

For every D picked, two F's are picked.
But speaking of F's given...
Nucker lives for D busting all over his F..... |

I'm just saying I like Wahlstrom if he's on the board, if not, I'm leaning towards a skilled dman, at this point after watching Dobson I'm not so sure who that is now. |

Then why would Buffalo trade him when they could add him to Eichel? If we're being honest here?
If you'd trade all that for him, no disrespect, but, you're an idiot |

I watched more than a few games this year and there is not much of a drop off between Miller McIssac Samuelsson Bouchard and Dobson.
Hughes and Boqvist I seen a lot of skill and high end potential. The rest I just seen potential
More than likely Wahlstrom and Hughes won't be available |
