Is there a chance Benning could trade down and acquire more assets ? There’s definitely no consensus on who to pick or what position to go for ....
- Redmile247

Just keep the 7OA. If they move a player (say Sven for example) for a 2nd. Would you package the 2 2nds to move back into the 1st rd? say 24-27 range pick?

tough call, given how good our 2nd is.

Well maybe the GM has to be smart enough to make the right trade ...don’t trade Hall unless you get a better return ...don’t trade a first for a bust D ....get a better return on Eberle ....don’t overpay for Lucic
- Redmile247

Drafting and developing players properly could, would, should eliminate needing to do most of that though.

Only if you know the player you want is there for sure. Otherwise it’s a waste.

I really like Serron Noel at 22 but I would keep McIssac and Miller at 37 and 41

There in lies the problem. 2 solid players that quite possibly both might be just as good as the guy in the first.

FYI I like Miller better than McIssac and Noel.

Everyone is pushing to hard for defense to be drafted so early. While it is deep with defense I don’t necessarily think that more than 2 or 3 go in the top 10.

Then trade down.
Botch's top 10
1. EP
2. OJ
3. TD
4. JD
5. AG
6. KL
7. JG
8. MD
9. PP
10. LJ

That's 7 F, 1 D, 2 G.

I heard they also brought a Play Station to dinner and told him a home entertainment center could be available
- VANTEL

They should offer each kid a free PlayStation with unlimited games of their choice or a free personal trainer

Might help teams avoid a bad pick

What did you think of Sautner's play when he was with the Canucks?

Miller sounds like he has some upside. McIsaac's upside is probably closer to Chychrun.

I’m thinking would you trade the 7 for say the 15 and 46

Or something like that

I can’t see why any GM would give a 2nd for Sven ....just sign a free agent for a mill or two and keep the pick

Steady. Steady enough that trading Hutton and Pouliot should be considered. Just because they need more picks.

I would take both and then there are other players like Olafsson Tychonick Bahl Ginning Kaut

Exactly . I think Vancouver have a few guys that can be stable on the back end . They don't have game changers but there is no panic button either.

Chattfield will be interesting this year . One year under his belt. The kid is a very good skater

Everyone had a hate on for him in earlier treads. What’s with the change of heart all of a sudden?

I have never hated him.

I think he is strictly a Scoring Dman . We need that guy that can shoot the puck

I thought it was a growing love for Wahlstrom over any D.

Literally was trying to talk everyone out of it and I failed.

If I knew without a shadow of doubt that either Dobson, Kotenemi or Kratsov would be available at 15 I would do it. That is not the case though.

Dennis Chowolski last D drafted high out of the BCHL. 20th OA.

I hope he drops to Van. If Miller isn't there either. I'd go with a center. Wise or McBain.

We also forget that Matt Brassard is a RHD who last year had 15G 51 pts in 67 games with Oshawa
