I think the Canucks try to move Nilsson after his World Gold Medal performance, then Demko could back up Marky and DiPietro could be in Utica - 93Nucks
I'd be cool with that.
Nilsson sucks, he somehow makes himself look small in net and he's constantly out of position. With Markstrom, it seems like more of a mental thing, but his positioning is generally decent.
I don't want too see this, as I am moreso getting a feeling, that the Canucks are considering it.
We have 2 backup goalies and Demko, who I believe is going too make the team.
The Canucks are looking hard at trying too acquire more picks and not a lot of goalies on the market.
Just a hunch though. - Reubenkincade
Ya not happening. Dipietro won’t see the NHL for at least three years if ever. I suspect he is back in junior next season

I agree. Nilsson is a big guy at 6'6 230lbs? but he sure doesn't play like that.
Markstrom is his own worst enemy but I like his compete level and the passion he shows.

DiPietro is ineligible for Utica.
Hope they look at trading one of Markstrom or Nilsson, bring Demko in as backup and sign Broissot for Utica/backup.

Markstrom tends to turn in either a really good or a really bad performance so working on his consistency will make him look a lot better. Nilssons skill cap just seems to be too low to handle more than the occasional NHL start.

If Richard Bachman does indeed move on from the Canucks/Comets organization, I wonder if Kristers Gudlevskis would be of interest to the team? The soon to be 26 year old is a pending UFA and spent time with Syracuse while current Comets head coach, Trent Cull was with the team.

I could also see Adam Wilcox being a goaltender that the team would look at...

Had a chat earlier today with an old teammate, who has been in Sweden the past year.
He is very high on Jacob Olofson. He knows I don't particular like Swedish forwards, as I am a Meathead and potatoes type, says even I would like this kid. He says the kid is a fantantic player, skates well has a strong 2 way game, goes to all the tough areas and he was a fairly regular linemate of Dahlen(who he also really likes).
Maybe it is time for me too reconsider my position on Swedish forwards.
