Ever since we lost our Nordic God of Defense, I feel like the organization has lacked in Finnish players. - johndewar

I think if you have a player that is an average skater but strong otherwise, you should draft them, however, I really think the flyers have those players and really need speed.
If it is close, you go with speed. If there is a Coots, duh, you do it |

Putting Dahlin aside, because it's not going to happen, here are the guys I really love in this draft and I'd be thrilled if the Flyers ended up with any one of them, thought that would likely require them to move up:
Svechnikov
Zadina
Tkachuk
Hughes
Walstrom
Dobson
Here is my next group, guys I like a lot, and if the Flyers were to walk away from 2 of the guys in this group, I'd be very happy. Also, some of these guys should be available at 14 and perhaps even at 19:
Boqvist
Bouchard
Farabee
Ty Smith
Kotkaniemi
Sandin
Kupari
Kravtsov
Kaut
Lundestrom - BiggE

Clearly you don’t - Nucker101
its a joke about players liked always being taken a few picks before the Flyers ala when I wanted Ristolainen who was taken a few picks before the Flyers in 2013 and Larkin in 2014 once again a few picks before the Flyers |

I don’t agree with the first line that next season is the year to go for it but the other analysis on trades is pretty on. Max Domi is an interesting name as he is young and fast and could probably benefit from playing in a different team. Small though but he does play big. If there was s trade with ARZ that included Simmonds, swapping picks, Domi and other moving parts I would be interested. |

its not like you would know that we were talking about those players a few days ago. I was in NJ with my nephew that year and I loved ristolainen. i was so hoping he would make it to the Flyers |

what do you think of Grigori Denisenko? - nastyflyergirl
He’d be in the next group, but I don’t like him enough to use the 14th or 19th pick on him. If the Flyers had a pick in the 25-35 range, he’d be a possibility
If by some chance he’s still on the board at 50, I’d take him in a heartbeat |

Count me in the camp that thinks Kupari does have pretty poor hockey sense. His decisions and ability to read the play with the puck can leave a lot to be desired, and it can cause him to disappear in games too often, even with his raw ability. I just don't get good vibes from him.
Kotkaniemi is great, but he's the best center in the draft. If he goes around top 5, it wouldn't surprise me. |
