Hamhuis - VANTEL
Oh for sure. Should be some community glad-handing position, but will probably join pro scouting for some reason |

Burrows said in an interview recently that once he retires he wants to start working to get into management asap. He said if he can't win a cup as a player he wants to do it as a GM or AGM.
I dunno if he'll pursue that in Van, MTL seems more likely |

hes hated everywhere else, van is an easy market to get his feet wet, prove himself, and let fans forget his playing style, before taking bigger roles in another organization |

Then you play him at center.
The list of "centers" who started on the wing with the plan to move them over, and never happens is hella long. Even guys who made the transition back like Granlund and Seguin took a while. Last year was Seguins first full year being the primary center on his line. at 26. Granlund moved back to the wing last year.
Brayden point is the only guy I found to have started on the wing and moved back in the middle as a scoring player. And he had a pretty legit split between him and Boyle his rookie season before taking over this year. - Lindenis#1
Benning is talking about transitioning him early this season from what I understand. Not like your examples.

I don't see what fans not liking him has to do with getting a job in management. I doubt he's hated in the actual NHL community |

true, but he speaks French which means that he can be GM in Montreal tomorrow with local immunity for 5 years. |

just saying pr plays a role. same reason linden is president, stan smyle has never had a job outside the organization, and so many others who have returned here |

Interesting comment from Filip Zadina pertaining to #Habs in @Michael_Traikos story: "Montreal, I know very well. I've been to the city many times and they're fans are awesome. But I think they're looking for a centre or a D." - VANTEL
I've been saying this from the top, I really see MTL picking D at 3. I suspect Boqvist or Hughes. Doesn't change much as Ottawa could not pass up on Zadina, need every position. |

It wouldn't surprise me at all. I could see Dobson going there too since he plays in the Q |

I would say no chance, but MB is capable of anything. Passing on Zadina would be criminal. |
