I would consider long and hard if the trade was the 14th and their 2nd or 14th 19th MacDonald for 7th and Tanev, or something along those lines.

Those are both horrible deals for us.
You are basically stating that Tanev is worth less than a 2nd rounder and we need to take a cap dump to get that much for him. in the first one your saying the different between 7 and 14 is a mid 2nd? good thing you are not in charge of our team. Your worse than Benning.

I remember last year it was a split board on here about bringing back the twins to insulate the young players. I was fully for letting them go and find replacements with the cap space.

They decided to retire and we have not found their replacements. Those that say we need a stop gap for a year or two . I am curious what happens in a year or two ? What am I missing ? Who is this savior next year?

Canucks have gone the stop gap with MDZ Gagner Vanek but the kids still need insulating. They will need insulating for the next 5 years.

Edler is starting to wind down , everyone wants Tanev gone , so who do we have help Demko? Who is suppose to teach OJ ? Who will protect Pettersson and feed him the puck?

They killed it at the world championship a couple of years before. It was probably the last time the Sedins were vintage Sedins.

But Ericsson has been so bad here that all you can do is laugh and shake your head. At least Edmonton got one good season out of Lucic. We haven’t gotten one good week out of Ericsson.
