All the Hanifan talk should be tempered as bobby Mac thinks it’s Faulk being the one moved cuz Hanifan has cheaper costs and more upside

No I don’t think anyone saw the 6 years ...but yeah I believe you were very anti keeping the twins here longer

I still think it was the right thing to do. They were getting slow and giving up almost as many points as they were producing.

I still think the Canucks will be fine but they need to find a center to play with Pettersson . Jim knows that and that is the reason for all the talk. They don't need one for 2 years they need a good one for 4 or 5 years.

He hadn’t done anything outrageous bad but he can’t make a move that everyone looks at and just accepts ...there’s always questions

Sutter and guddy trades
Hamhuis non deal
Reaching for OJ and taking jv
Signing LE

This is just off the top of my head for scenarios that were looked at as questionable moves at the time

- Redmile247

Trying to be competitive when he got here, and for the next four years, when he should've been rebuilding aka...acquiring more picks not giving them away for project players.

If they can find someone to play that role for a couple years it will help the prospects coming in

Now that Seattle has been approved for expansion, I think the only logical move for the Flames is to relocate to Quebec City. A win, win for everyone.

Sutter is one of the better bottom 6 centers in the leaugue.

When Canucks got Guddy they needed toughness. Same as why teams took Lucic Brouwer Ladd long term. It was the very same year a lot of teams got fast. There was many forwards and Dmen looking pretty useless. Look at TO and Matt Martin , Buffalo with Gorges, Chicago with Seabrook , The entire LA kings

Hamhuis Edler the Twins . More of a Trevor fault than a Benning fault. When he came in and had no loyalty to any of them . When your boss tells you don't even think about it , what can you do

Just think If only they would just move all the teams from the west to the east ...Canucks chances of making the playoffs would increase lol

So last year everyone wanted the Sedins extended so we would have a second line center. What has changed since they retired that we no longer need a 2C? I must have missed who we got?
- VANTEL

1 Bo
2A Sutter
2B Nash/Letestu/Filppula
4 Gaudette

It's ugly but we have to deal with it for a year or 2.

start of the 20/21 season:

1 Bo/Pettersson
2 Pettersson/Bo
3 Gaudette
4 Whatever

I wonder what Pittsburgh would want for Brassard? They're a team pushing the upper cap, his cap hit is 3 million but his actual dollars are only 1.5.

But he gave up a really good bottom 6 Center and a prospect and went from a 2nd to a 3rd....then days later signed Sutter to a deal fit for a 2nd line Center without him even touching the ice ...

Sedins and edler to me had no chance of going but he played hardball trading Hamhuis and got nothing

I wonder if all 3 GMs would take a mulligan on adding their toughness ....I hate the Brouwer signing but holy crap it could have been lucic ...that’s scary lol

I think this two years away stuff is a joke personally. Look at Henrik's stats listed above. It took him 6 years. He even said in his last radio interview it took 6-7 years
to get comfortable . In his first 5 years he broke the 40 pt mark once at 42. He also had Daniel to share the pressure.

I think Pettersson will be a very good player but this is the NHL and it will take a few years to hit peak performance

With all the crying that goes on around here it’s only a matter of time before the river around the arena forms 😉

Different eras. Modern stats show that a star players most productive years are usually 22-25.

I also have him as the 2C that year behind Bo. My point is we will be okay C-wise in a couple years, thus we only need a 2 year stop-gap

Every GM makes a bad deal somewhere look at

Treliving Hamonic for 2 firsts and a second

Burke Kessel for 2 firsts and a second

McPhee Foresberg for Erat

Bergeron Subban for Weber , Droun for Sergachev

Chia Pet Larson for Hall

Which is when I had him in for? 2 full seasons and hopefully over the course of the 3rd one he establishes himself as a top 6 C

Horvat has had better numbers than Hank in his first 4 years but he is sitting around the 50 pt mark after 4 years. I think he will hit 70 pts around his 7 th year .

Horvat is the same era as EP . I still think players peak around 24-25 . Just my opinion.
