I guess my larger point is that I would promote what makes me more money...i.e. MLB, and to a lesser extent, College Baseball. Relating back to my earlier comment, putting most of your promoting into something that is markedly less popular to suit a particular narrative or agenda is what has led the network to suffer such great losses.

Thanks for the recap, I've been a Sabres fan for 40 plus years. Didn't miss any of these moves.

Like I said, my only explanation for the McNabb trade to la ( other then the obvious gmtm made bad trades) would be that gmtm traded a nhl ready guy, for a guy he projected to play after the original tank year of 2015.

If you're a team that can't compete because of lack of center depth, than yes, you would. Carolina has the wingers and the defense, they don't have a competent middle, which O'reilly would sure up. RoR, Staal, and Linholm puts them in the playoffs next season. Svechnikov has them wondering who will set him up?

Centers are of the highest value in this league, everyone knows that. We paid a heavy price to get ROR and his value hasn't diminished, even on a last place team. if another teams wants him, they'll need to pay just like we did to acquire him.

There seems to be this underlaying concept that if the Sabres want to trade for someone, they need to pay big time. But if someone wants a Sabres assets than the Sabres are expected to sell cheap. RoR is a #2 on most teams in this league, he averages 60 pts on a bad team, he's strong defensively, and a wizard at face offs. He's not coming cheap! It will be the #2 or #3 pick or he'll remain a Sabre.

Agreed he’s young and The free agent market for centers is very very Limited Teams will be lining up for Ryan O’Reilly and we should not trade him until we get the mother load
