Thanks Carol, and yes, sad day for the Canucks family. At just 71 he was still a relatively young age in terms of older people. |

Retirement age in Canada is a joke. |

@botchford: Canucks have had like four teams call on Brandon Sutter. Brandon Sutter is the guy that has had the most calls on this offseason. And that shows you that there is a lot of teams that need a centre |

Retirement should be 75 . Do you know how many people die after two years of retirement? I hate being semi retired . I am thinking about going back to work in two weeks . |

That is why I don't mind ROR at 5 yrs 7.5 less Sutters salary at 4.5 and the first round pick

#Canucks still have not made a decision on ufa’s Archibald and Dowd. No offers made, both camps told they are still in the mix.

Oh...I thought I read where he'd grown to 5'11" but maybe I'm thinking of Boqvist? |

In terms of OAP and CPP? Retirement is when you've saved enough money and put enough into your life's work to retire. I'm not even counting either of those for my retirement. |

Yes Lefty, I can’t quote you but you are thinking of boqvist. Hughes is probably avoiding the measurement. Little man |

I'm one of the few, but I like Sutter.
And why would that be any different, I see Stecher continually penciled in lineups and I'd take Pouliot over the Benny Hill fire drill any day. |

I would rather pay a guy like Maroon Roussel or Beagle instead of Archie or Gaunce. |

This statement is so wrong . If that was the case 90 % of all Dmen would be first round picks instead of the other way around - VANTEL
So you think a player drafted 1st overall has the same chance to reach potential as 200th overall?
I'm not saying they have that chance to reach potential BECAUSE you draft them there. I'm saying they are rated there for a reason and top tier Dmen are harder to come by. |

https://canucksarmy.com/2...in-review-troy-stecher-2/
Stecher performs at a middle pairing level most nights. He is certainly better than Pouliot.
Conclusion
Fans are wondering whether Troy Stecher is starting to establish himself as a bonafide top-four defenceman in the league, but if you were to ask me he’s already done that.
Stecher had a positive effect on his teammates’ ability to control possession, performed at an elite level killing penalties and held his head above the water in tough minutes despite being tied to Michael Del Zotto for much of the season. |

You can do both. Archinald and Gaunce aren’t exactly in position to demand much lol and they’re better depth players than the soft scrubs the team usually calls up.
I prefer Roussel out of those 3, I believe he’s the best skater |

Pouliot is arguably worse defensively than Stetcher |

Do you know how many mistakes are made yearly by drafting and ranking?
I just typed in a name off the top of my head Roman Josi and looked at some of the first round choices taken ahead of him
Luke Schenn
Tyler Myers
Jake Gardine
Michael Del Zotto
Luca Sbisa
Tyler Cuma
Colten Tuebert
Zack Bogasian
Al first round pics all taken before second round Josi |
