You can do both. Archinald and Gaunce aren’t exactly in position to demand much lol and they’re better depth players than the soft scrubs the team usually calls up.

I prefer Roussel out of those 3, I believe he’s the best skater

- Nucker101

I like Roussel the best too but also wouldn't mind Maroon

Now I am thinking if Zadina is available at 7

Instant fit . Thanks Pker

Stecher will win a Norris soon
- CanuckDon

Likely a Chuck Norris swift kick to the balls.

Do you know how many mistakes are made yearly by drafting and ranking?

I just typed in a name off the top of my head Roman Josi and looked at some of the first round choices taken ahead of him

Luke Schenn
Tyler Myers
Jake Gardine
Michael Del Zotto
Luca Sbisa
Tyler Cuma
Colten Tuebert
Zack Bogasian

Al first round pics all taken before second round Josi

None of what you are saying is any kind of argument for taking Kotkaniemi ahead of one of the top ranked Dmen.

A lot of people think Maroon might go home to St.Louis to be closer to family

I like him since he's a heart and soul type of player, but he's slow.

Stecher performs at a middle pairing level most nights. He is certainly better than Pouliot.

Canucks Army is another fan boy website, Stecher as a top 4 "D" is so laughable it makes me want to puke...

That said, looks he is here unless he gets traded, so good luck to him and I'm hoping for the best.

I am saying you can get the best center of the draft and still pick up a quality Dman that is very close to what you want to use your top pick on. Dobson is not a top two Dman. Top 4 yes but so is McIssac and Miller

Pouliot is arguably worse defensively than Stetcher
- Nucker101

Yes, arguably he is, but I like him better than Benny the fire drill Stecher.

I honestly think if you give him a quality partner, someone who is better than him, he makes a fine 2nd pairing D. Him and Edler for example make a pretty decent 2nd pairing on a better team.

I don't mind a 20 goal 40 point slow fourth liner.

i doubt he gets anywhere near those numbers with 4th line mins, that would make him an elite player

ANA and EDM had him riding shotgun with their best players sometimes + PP time.

I am sure he would battle harder and put up more points than Gaunce

40 points on the 4th line is awesome, can Maroon do that with 10-12 mins? If so

Again, pretty irrelevant. Goalies are the hardest to come by, why don't we take the best goalie in the draft?

THis is absurd. How do you compare Dobson and miller, McIssac etc. Why are they the same? What particular traits ensure Dobson has a 3 ceiling?

Personally I'm okay with moving or keeping Sutter. He's a little overpaid but I like what he brings to the table as a checking center. If we moved him it would just create a bigger hole at a position we aren't strong in.

If anyone is to be traded, I am hoping it's Tanev and Baertschi

@botchford: Canucks have had like four teams call on Brandon Sutter. Brandon Sutter is the guy that has had the most calls on this offseason. And that shows you that there is a lot of teams that need a centre
- VANTEL

They probably saw the final 10 games of the season where he put up 10 points in that span.
