THis is absurd. How do you compare Dobson and miller, McIssac etc. Why are they the same? What particular traits ensure Dobson has a 3 ceiling? - CanuckDon
Is there a chance Dobsons numbers were high playing in the QMHL?
Miller and McIssac play a better defensive game. We could go on hours and hours debating . I have watched enough Dobson this year myself to have my own opinion that he is not a top two . |

Personally I'm okay with moving or keeping Sutter. He's a little overpaid but I like what he brings to the table as a checking center. If we moved him it would just create a bigger hole at a position we aren't strong in.
If anyone is to be traded, I am hoping it's Tanev and Baertschi - 93Nucks
Agreed, trade from a position of strength (the wing). We need Sutter for another year or until Gaudette and EP can prove they can play center |

What about Bouchards numbers then? Point is if they're ranked that highly it's for a reason. Anyone can say that a Dman drafted in the 2nd round will be just as good but past history favours high draft picks. |

Haven't seen enough Bouchard just two games and video but the games I did see he looked similar to Dobson but better defensively |

How did Dobson produce against the teams from the O and W? 7 points in 4 games and 17 shots. 3rd overall in scoring as a D. McIssaic is worse defensively and offensively. miller is decent but their is a reason he projected to go in the early 2nd round. He has size, skating and a great 2-way game. I haven’t heard one reason that limits him to being a second pair dman
Edit. I know you watched him play a game in the memorial cup were he had a few defensive miscues but he is regarded as being very solid in his own end |

3 points one game against a bad team with one open net goal , a shot and a rebound that the terrible goalie should have hung onto and the forward knocked in.
He had about 4 nice points including the OT winner set up. |

Isn’t 4 points in your D season in the memorial cup good (assuming we eliminate the other 3 for some reason)? I mean the number two defensive scorer is two years older |

With the Knights advancing to the 2016 Memorial Cup, Juolevi recorded seven assists in four games and was named to the tournament's All-Star Team, helping London to a national championship.[1] |

One of the best junior teams in a long long time. No goals? Pretty disappointing. Dobson outproduced Juolevi on a worse team |

I’m using his performance in the Q for my ranking I’m merely pointing out that the QOC argument takes a hit when you look at his Mem Cup stats. Cassels wasn’t in his draft season and I watched his breakout playoffs and said on here many times that he would never sniff the NHL. I like Dobson because outside of Rasmus I think he has the best shot at being a #1. Something this franchise needs more than a center or a winger |

You think they are similar players? Similar production? Or GMs will make a similar mistake with him? Or you don’t like Zadina? It would be a miracle and a game changer for the Nucks |

Benning has come out and openly said we are looking for a center . I imagine it had more to do with the hole left by Hank and not the one left by Dowd. Even in the draft talks they were talking about some forward . I imagine it was about JK o another center. |

Hey I think they want Dobson the most but if you are right I won’t complain. Only player I hate in the top 10 is presidents guy. It’s a weird draft with no consensus outside of the top 2 |

Indeed. On top of his mad skillz, I have been really impressed with the interviews I've heard with Zadina. He's sharp and seems to have his priorities in order. |

Stecher performs at a middle pairing level most nights. He is certainly better than Pouliot. - NorthNuck
PK stats are top 10 in the league. Stetcher isnt a well rounded dman but he does excel at something at least.
Now Makita will respond how people think Stetcher is the best dman in the league after I said that....again.
That's blind hate for you. |

I trust whatever decision JB makes, him and the scouting staff seem to really know what they are doing. I just happen to think they'll select a Dman. Unless Wahlstrom is available of course. |

Bit of a twisted comment, but whatever makes you feel good.
I'm not a fan, really wish he was developed properly, Canucks fault not Stechers. No blind hate, just not a fan, but carry on carrying on... ya man. |
