On a serious note I expect one player to surprise in camp but I don't know who

McEneny is a good sleeper pick, but like Don mention, he’s coming off of a serious injury.

Could be someone who earns a callup when injuries hit

I will say Mini Me makes the Canucks. I think playing in a men's league will give him a leg up (no pun intended)

I would be a little concerned about losing him on waivers. They need to clear up some room for a couple of these defensemaen on the cusp, that can be claimed when trying to send them down to Utica.
Hutton MDZ would be a good start.

ROTY in his league. He loves going to the net and good hands. Long shot but he is the one I am pulling for.

I’d be shocked if he got claimed

Every year we worry about fringe players getting claimed. Teams aren’t exactly chomping at the bit for guys who can’t make the roster of a bottom feeder

I hope too see him 1 day on the Canucks, he kinda reminds me of Bure.
Hope him and Gadjovich get re-acquainted in Utica, maybe with Lind learning to be centre.

He has a really nice shot so if he can create/find space + provide energy then he can carve out a nice bottom 6 career

I expect him to spend the year in Utica

There are some decent teams that are deperate for defense...Toronto Edmonton Islanders Canadiens Blues, come to mind.
I am not really concerned too much about losing a player on waivers, would rather see it be someone like Hutton, opposed to McEneny or Sautner.

No doubt

Would be a big win if he even develops into a good 4th liner in a couple of years

Calgary and Sabres Discuss O'Reilly for Hamilton (e4) Isles. Buzzcast

I love it when Red comes in here and laughs at the Canucks

When do I come in here and laugh at the Canucks ?
I come in and give a non Canucks opinion on things ....you just don’t always like what I have to say so you bring up the flames lol that’s how I know I got to ya 😉
And to be honest if I’m in EKs thread or the flames thread I rip flames fans when they propose stupid things

And I don’t buy into anything EK says lol he’s had Malkin, Karlsson, and Tavares trades a dozen times over ...why not throw more poop at the wall 😂

Gotta respond to NorthNuck

Drafting BPA (successfully) increases overall asset value within the organisation. If you end up overloaded at a particular position, you have value to move for positions that are lacking (see Johannson for Jones, Drouin for Sergachev etc).

If you feel that dmen hold higher trade value, then consider that when calculating who will have the higher overall value as BPA.

Who were the top 4 dmen on the Pens when they won their 2 most recent cups?

- BobBot

who cares. they had crosby malkin kessel and 2 good goalies.
