Trade for Washington's pick.
It would have been the first pick of the second round (pre-vegas), but now its a late first (basically a second), to go along with our pick #32, which would have been the second pick of the second round pre-vegas, but is now a late first - jcragcrumple
That’s true basically the 2 late 2nds + Gus = 15 add the sharks pick + ROR = top 5 then we can use a 2nd next year depending on the rank could be a 3rd or 4th

2 Larssons to a Gus, 3 Nolans to a larsson. Carry the Moulson minus Lehner = well, I'm not totally sure, but I think it's a mid-7th so basically a first |

Actually he played 50% and got 25 goals.
I would rather have 35-40 goals from him playing at 100% - IonSabres
Actually it was 56%.
Let's see if he can keep it rolling |

Mid 7th is a 6th but depending if your first in the 6th round that becomes a 5th with players in the 4th slipping by to the 5th is basically fourth round pick |

I was among those who were very frustrated with him and his seemingly uninterested play through December.
However, what ever happened to cause him to go on a PPG pace Jan - April has caused me to want to see where he levels off...so I agree to seeing where he goes.
I hope Housley is smart enough to keep him and Reinhart together as they play extremely well together...and Botts can find a suitable LW who can also pot 25 ... that would be a great line.
Edit - keep Reinhart and ROR together.

In evaluating RORs value from a draft pick only, using Scott Cullens research of 25 years if drafts...ROR should be worth around pick 5-7 in an average draft year. In those slots those players selected have proven to be top 6 F's or top 4 D.
If it is believed that the 2018 draft is better than average...then perhaps his value drops to say 8 -10.
I think the WGR guest was off in his evaluations based on this approach...but he isn't landing a top 5 selection this year. |

Phil "Bowman" should have done a lot of things with the lines last season. Should have played Erod with Jack for 25 games, maybe Baptiste, too. Too many questions going into next season as to whether certain players are NHLers (not Erod. We know he's an NHLer, but we could have seen if he could've put up some numbers with Jack). |

Erod has a wicked shot that he's not afraid to use...I have to agree with you..seeing him on Jack's wing (especially given the college connection) is a must. |

i guess i would have thought more in the 12-16 range. and my contention is that most those teams wouldnt have the need for him as a 2nd line center due to his salary.. if someone could fit him in and put him on their 3rd line it would be a consideration for them, but who is paying a 1st rounder to get a third line player |

Agreed. We were trash and we knew it by the end of November. Maybe that point in the year is a bit early to give up...but in January we were just as bad. Why he didn't start figuring out what he had as far as roster players for next year is beyond me. |

i like erod as the 3rd line center.... but if we have jack, ROR, Casey.. i think you should give that a try considering our depth at wing |

it hurts the common sense bone.. had he stated the 32nd pick he would have an argument.. but he said 1st pick of the second... he still doesn't understand that how you word things actually matters in real life - IndianaSabresFan
There's the rub though. When you live in Gerbe Island, real life is no where to be seen. |
