I never saw him play other then at u18s. He played 10 games in the SHL and didnt score.

My thought is, i wonder if scouts think his skill isnt translatable to the NHL and thats why he isnt viewed as a first rounder.

Im thinking more like Aleksi Heponiemi from last season. Berggren weighs more but same sort of skill set. Went 40th last season.

I'm not a fan of button but having him at 10 in his ranking and 26 in his mock makes complete sense if he's claiming he saw something in him other teams didn't.

I can see them going Tkachuk at 3 but Kotkaniemi is pretty out there.

Is 7 + 37 worth 3? The fancy stats say yes but I would still likely rather 2 shots on the top 40.

I think it is but everyone here has a different idea who is best at 3. I think I would rather stay and hopefully get another late 1st or early 2nd round pick with a trade. Kotkaniemi is not a far stretch at 3.

I hope we pick Vitali Kravtsov at 7.

The kid isn’t getting enough attention. He set a record for the points as a junior playing in the KHL playoffs. His skating is amazing. Puck skills are no different. His hockey IQ is up there with Dahlin’s.The main factor he isn’t going top 10 is the Russian one. A factor which affects us most of all because of Tryamkin.

I don’t think it matters if you add or not ....if Hanifan turns into a legit top pairing guy then it’s a good trade if he ends up a 4/5 guy it might not be
