So you're not high on Kotkaniemi? Not enough flash for you? Do you know how he was used vs how Armia was used? What type of minutes they had and what types of situations?

Saying this guys had 29 point and this guy had 27 points is essentially meaningless unless there's context.

- LeftCoaster

Armia is interesting...he had better stats in his draft season but then never really progressed even in Liiga. From what I can tell, Kotkanimi is developing on a steeper curve. I doubt he only puts up 35 points next season

Because I dont think he plays like Kopitar?

This goes to your second answer too. Lol you are trying really hard to figure it out for no reason.

- manvanfan

No just in general.

I don't know enough about either of them to say one way or the other, I have read some good things about Kotkaniemi though, which intrigues me about him.

I've never seen him play though!

I’ve watched him play one game lol. I know the least about him out of any of the top 15

He was great at the u18s. Played center. Bigger, better so plays center with his age group. Winger in Liiga. Was usually listed 1st or 2nd line.

He works hard.

Read reports about his shot being great. Yet to see it above avg in highlights. No Laine for sure. If Det picks him at 6. Would just leave a better player for Van.

I'd love for Pettersson to become a center but they still need to draft one even if he does, only Tkachuk and Kotkaniemi project to be developed as centres. Possibly.

I think Wahlstrom could too but I've read more and more he's a better fit for the wing. Still wouldn't stop me from trying him there.

It's true, any of the players from 8 down I'd be happy with, except Hughes, even if he's super skilled, I don't trust (halflings)5 foot 7 defensemen .

pettersson is obviously a skill player. I want a C that will (frank)ing run someone over at the faceoff dot. That's the C we need.

I'd rather try a bigger body for C

I'm really siding with picking wahlstrom, be cool to see he and pettersson can do together.

Just think about adding a RHD and then a LHD in K'Andre Miller or Johnny Tychonick in the 2nd round.

The only way we get K’Andre is if we take him at 7 or acquire another pick between 20 and 25. He won’t make the second round.

Wahlstrom is the pick if he is there. He is this years PLD. I predict he goes 3rd over Zadina.

Wahlstrom isnt going to be an NHL center. People just overlooked PLD that year because the Finns were so good at WJC.
