Problem with this is his nmc kicks in after this year, I believe. I could be wrong but I've read about 4,557 pages of ROR trade stuff in the last month and thought that tidbit was brought up. - LandlordTom
Just read an article on TSN, which specifically stated there is no, none movement protection for OrIelly...so, I do believe you have him mixed up with someone else. |

If ONE guy is to start on the Sabres that played exclusively for the Amerks last season, who would that guy be? Guhle and Nelson don't count. - TheSabresTaco
Also assuming that Bailey & Baptiste don’t count?
They’ll have to clear waivers,
so they’re either on the roster or traded I’d think
So of the guys who can still be sent down without a risk of someone else claiming them...
Nylander has the most talent, and finished the Regular Season strong
So with a good training camp, maybe he finally gets a shot?
O’Regan & Smith are roughly the same guy,
so i think it would depend on who has the better camp
O’Regan is the better goal scorer though,
and if he gets on a line with Jack & they show some of that old BU chemistry...
I wouldn’t hate seeing a line of
Rodrigues-Eichel-O’Regan
Just to see how it goes...
Malone is a long shot I’d think
but if we move Larsson & Girgs, we will need a 4C
Fasching is in the talent level realm of O’Regan & Smith, but they’re better skaters
Looks like his time on our organization might be just about done
Don’t really see anyone else with a legit chance from Rochester
Olofsson might have a better chance than all the above mentioned though
Asplund & Pilut also in the mix
This is all only possible if we clear some guys out though
As of now:
Eichel, O’Reilly, Reinhart, Okposo, Mittelstadt, Rodrigues, Pominville, Wilson, Girgensons, Larsson, Bailey, Baptiste
So that’s 12 right there
*i didn’t include Moulson bc it’s pretty obvious his time here is done |

You have the top 5 wrong
Sabres - Rasmus Dahlin
Carolina-Andrei Svechnikov
Sabres - Filip Zadina
Ottawa - Oliver Wahlstrom
Phoenix - Quinton Hughes - gerbe75pts
I think Ottawa goes defense,
since they’re likely trading Karlsson
Dobson is rising up the rankings from what I’ve been hearing, so i think he’s a possibility at 4
Boqvist too
Bouchard is likely the only one of the 2nd tier defensemen who’s in the NHL next season though- so it could be him
Hughes might go behind these other good defensemen bc of his size |

Three-way trade:
To EDM
Risto
Reinhart
32
To Car
2019 Sabres 1st
Klefbom
ROR
Nylander
To Buff
#2 OA
Hanifin
RNH - jcragcrumple
We are giving up way too much in this scenario
Reinhart & Risto for RNH & Hanifin is pretty close to equal
So for #2...
O’Reilly, Nylander, pick32, AND our 2019 1st
How about ROR + one of those other pieces?
3 is too many imo |

Girgensons, Falk, and a bag of moldy oats for Faulk. - Wetbandit1
I think I’d be ok with pick32 for Faulk
He has not been good defensively the last couple years, so he’s too risky to give up ROR
Not sure if he’s a good fit though
We are only playing 1 defenseman on PP1 most likely
Will we use 2 on the 2nd unit?
Even if he is on PP2, how much does that take away from his scoring?

If you could get 2OA for ROR, 32 and Nylander, sure.
It's hard to judge how GMs value different pieces. I genuinely don't know how Carolina views 2OA

I think he's the 4C replacement for larsson or Girgs. Fresh blood is good |

Fair... just seemed like A LOT to give up from our end
2OA is probably untouchable
I do think there’s a chance at that 3rd pick though
Montreal’s GM has gotta be feeling the pressure to win now & save his job
That’s my hope anyways

I don’t disagree,
but Girgs & Larsson are both signed for this next season
And O’Regan can be sent back to Rochester without needing to clear
I could see Botts starting him down there
Then calling him up for injuries & he earns a spot full time in the 19-20 season
Let’s just say Botts doesn’t see Larsson &/or Girgs here long term
That doesn’t necessarily mean he will just dump either off for nothing this year
Remember,
winning in Rochester is a priority for the Organization now
So unless guys like O’Regan, Smith, Borgen, etc play so well as to force us to keep them here...
it’s quite possible Botts keeps those guys in Rochester to win down there, playing important roles, instead of up here getting limited ice time
And just sucks it up for another year of Larsson &/or Girgs on line4
Not that I’d love this line, but
Wilson-Larsson-Girgensons
might be able to at least be a decent defensive/energy 4th line |

Hey Mike, is Calgary allowed to trade into the first round for the purposes of this mock draft? Bottom ten mind you, nothing crazy. I would like to trade Adam Fox. Man we would love to have him but he expressed feelings he would like to stay in the States. His accolades so far speak for themself.
If that works for you that is. |

They’d play a whole 10min a night tops
They might not help a whole lot
But i agree,
they won’t kill us either
Might have to see that for a year
Then O’Regan, Smith & Nylander at the very least should be ready |

Who you got tomorrow?
I have a feeling there's going to be a late safety car with Hamilton and Vettel 1,2 and we're going to get a repeat of Baku last year, and Vettel punctures both Hamilton and himself after raging about a "brake check" and Kimi, in 3rd, comes in and takes the win. Kind of like Ricciardo a few years ago after that accident when Massa crashed right at the end and the Mercedes crapping out with their power recovery unit failures and bad brakes.
Edit: And after a close call with the Wall of Champions early Verstappen runs a clean race and ends up 3rd. |

What you need to ask yourself is, if you're the team/GM that has the #2 pick, are YOU trading that pick for Ryan O'Reilly and one of those other pieces?
I'm not. The Sabres would have to do better. |

Finish a $15 order from McDonald's. Poster's choice. I'm thinking a couple fish fillets, big Mac, large fries, chocolate shake, breakfast burrito and a McMuffin.
