Meh, I think that is somewhat old logic. , as was mentioned I think by Taco the Division games aren’t weighted as heavily anymore ... sure your rivals matter, but less so today.
If the trade was even up then yes I could see preferring to ship out of the conference.
However, I think most take the best deal available.

Pick 3 may just be better for the Sabres anywaY, assuming The Canes take Schv errr The Russian with 2. Zadina on the left would be better for our existing holes at LW.
