I wonder if bringing in Enstrom for a year or 2 might be a good idea for Dahlin - mattmoulson
I like it, short term is a must imo. |

I’d do it for a 4th, but not any more than that
He’s only been “ok” in the AHL
I know that his size hurts him there,
maybe more than it would in the NHL
But he’s not a top level prospect
Where would u see him fitting in here eventually? - jdfitz77
Top 6 if he hits his calling if not a bust |

What about the fact that in his professional league caeer, not tournaments, he plays the left? You want to throw that adjustment onto him while he's adjusting to the rink size, not to mention all of the off-ice adjustments?
"Hey, kid, you're now the number 1 Dman AND the number 1 RD"
Good luck - jcragcrumple
and the smaller ice surface, which adds to the fact you want him to play to his strength, LD

We might already be set. Oloffson is a sniper, and with Eichel and Reinhart's ability to control the puck and make tape-to-tape passes, this kid could really put up some goals. Oloffson-Eichel-Reinhart could be a deadly line. - sskkoo1

He's coach said he plays right so theres that and they had many people on wgr that said he plays both and no weaknesses - gerbe75pts
His team had him listed at LD which is where he played. He definitely can play RD, but you're counting on him instantly being a 1RD in the first game, or Bogo goes there. Terrible plan |

Because RoR's value could go down and it's easy to acquire a defensive 3C to shelter Mitts and allow guys to develop in Rochester.
To me, trading RoR is about 3+ years out. If you don't see him here, you consider all options right now. - Lunaion
How is getting a 3c now a way to shelter Mitts? Mitts would be your 2C immediately and would be exposed.
ROR's value isn't likely to go down, I do dispute that for sure....not unless something unforeseen happens to him. Could it, sure ... the Sun could dim tomorrow as well.
It is premature in my mind to move ROR this off-season.

He's on The level of Connor McDavid and destroyed a league full of x NHL players and future ones he will be fine imo

Maybe he gets here, looks great at RD, and pushes Risto Risto down a pair. I think it's more likely that he will initially feel comfortable on the left side. In either scenario, your best RHD is Risto. Behind him is Bogo. Bogo as your best RHD is unacceptable |

Line numbers are over-rated. Everyone knows who our top line is. After that, one line is going to be ozone heavy, the other dzone heavy. If Mitts gets close to 60% ozone starts, he's sheltered.
If RoR has the same season, he's just the same guy, but a year older. His value is down a touch. If he slows at all or gets hurt, his value could drop a lot. It's a risk with almost no upside.

Bob McKenzie on TSN690 says he expects Jack Johnson to get in the neighbourhood of 6M per year, give or take a million. Expects the Canadiens to be interested.
- gerbe75pts
if someone gives Jack (frank)ing Johnson 6 million dollars for ANYTHING, they should be taken out back, tied to a stake and slowly burned to death. |

Having Mitts as your 2nd line center after 6 games in the NHL is moronic. Look forward to another bottom 3 season in the NHL next year. |

This is serious Gerbe absolutism.
Take away the labels for a second. Let's say you trade ror for a winger +. You now have a veteran center hole to fill.
CM may have the offense, but he's not an experienced 200' player in this league. Someone needs to come in to do the PK, take the defensive minutes, win the defensive faceoffs, so on and so forth. You don't need an OR in return, but you need I would say a 30 year old Legwand. |

This is why I'm fine with keeping ROR for another year or two if the return isn't right this summer.
Eichel can get 20 mins, Mitts 16, ROR 18, with his minutes at 5-on-5 decreased, but still plenty of time on special teams where he's effective. He should have more energy too to make hiss 5-on-5 time more productive |

Colorado and New Jersey and Phillydidn’t seem to have much of a problem making the playoffs with Kerfoot, Hischer, and Patrick as top 6 Centres on their respective teams. One of those players being an undrafted free agent. |
