What he did was despicable. No excuses. That said he has done time, lost a great deal of money (generally he paid a heavy price).

IF (big if) he is doing the personal work to change his ways I am for allowing a way back for him (and for others who messed up). Lifelong shame-ing doesn't fix social problems any more than shame-ing for not cleaning your room made me start cleaning my room.
