A caged fight at the stadium. 2 fights hoff vs Karl - bare knuckle , and the 2 women in the opening match
I would pay up to 2000 for a ringside. I would put 1000 on the Karlssons for a clean sweep |

If Ottawa gets a new owner, especially one who is willing to spend. Do you really think Dorian is still with the team? My guess is he gets fired asap or turned back into a scout where he is good at his job.
As for the whole situation right now. I'm kind of viewing it the same way as I am viewing Randy Lee. Hoffman is innocent until proven guilty and shouldn't have any repercussions until it's proven.
If it is true that Hoffman's gf did this then he easily might not have known anything.
Imagine how strong of a bond Karlsson and Hoffman could have if Hoffman decides to dump his long term gf to solve the situation.
I'm a positive thinker and I've always thought you can solve any situation. Clearly the team is rallying around Karlsson and his wife, I just don't think Hoffman should be vilified until something is proven and I think whatever has happened, management need to get them both into a room to sit down and solve things like adults. - Maverick1818
At this point, it's almost immaterial whether Hoffman or his girlfriend are guilty. The locker room will be destroyed by this. If the Sens indeed do want to keep Karlsson, Hoffman needs to be traded today, or preferably yesterday.
As to Hoffman and his girlfriend being vilified, it seems many of the wives of the Seantors believe there is at least some truth to the matter.

All joking and moral disbelief aside. What a disaster for an already fragile team. At this point they may have to burn it down and start again. From the top down.. Like Trevor said this is embarrassing for the fans, the league, the city. Its at the point almost of no return
Hoffmans career is over,i cant believe any team will touch him,,how could he possibly assimilate into any locker room...maybe San Jose? |

It's past that.
The players don't want to be there (Allegedly)
I have strong doubts that Karlsson wants to sign in Ottawa, or will at least make it extremely costly for them, considering the team (Again allegedly) did nothing to help the situation. |

because the story is fairly open including agents and the players union, we can probably assume the deal to move Hoffman is near completion and the story release is an attempt to explain a very nominal trade return - spatso
Or maybe the story is "fairly open" because Karlsson's wife filed an application for an order of protection against Hoffman's fiancee.
But your take sounds more plausible. |

Tough spot for the Sens. There isn't much they could've done to address this if Hoffman's GF has mental health issues. Trading him doesn't necessarily stop the harassment. If anything, I think it could've complicated things as it would potentially cross legal borders and jurisdictions, which means the harassment would likely continue and be harder to resolve.
They could've tried to have a conflict resolution specialist come in to try and help matters, but if Miss Caryk denies everything, she would likely decline such a process. So do you punish Hoffman as a result of the unproven allegations? If so, how, and would it truly be fair?
I don't see how you can really blame the Sens for this specific situation unless it becomes clear that they were aware of the issue and did absolutely nothing about it. I doubt they did nothing.
I don't think it's fair either to point to issues with the Sens internal culture here or to link this to Randy Lee's situation. There is a bizarre dark cloud over the Sens at the moment, but how much of it is really self-inflicted and how much of it is truly outside of the organizations control? |

there is a story today saying Hoffman’s agent Mike Luitt has been dealing with the league and players union over the allegations since March. Apparently it was a wide open issue around those connected with the team. |

That's the thing. Lets assuming that Hoffman's gf did this and is proven to have done this.
The team is on the road half the year and Hoffman is a fairly busy guy. It's reasonable to assume that Hoffman's gf isn't going to just tell him what she did.
Hoffman has already said it wasn't him and he believes it wasn't her either. He's already said that he knows nothing about it but wanted to help find out whoever did it.
So, we have to take it at face value and say even if it is her, he doesn't know.
Internally, it may be a completely different story but publicly all we really know is that Hoffman said he knows nothing about it. Innocent until proven guilty and as of right now there is no proof that Hoffman did or knows anything.
Again, lets assume Hoffman is just as blind sided by this as everyone else. Imagine he dumps her and is there to support Karlsson and his wife. Do you not thing that should show he cares about his team mates and that would strengthen the bond between Hoffman and Karlsson? |

This is all well and good, until Karlsson gets a phone call from his wife while on the road, probably crying, telling him what the crazy female dog said this time. At that point, more than likely (because in your theory you make a ton of assumptions, so so will I) Karlsson walks up to Hoffman and says what the hell. Theory just had a hole poked in Hoffman not knowing. |

C'mon man, former players are saying it happened. The organization knew about it.
Yet Hoffman didn't know it was going on? Seems extremely unlikely. - ImThatGuy
You know what's funny about this? More times than not, you'll see a bunch of team mates, or their wives in a situation like this, vigorously defend a fellow WAG. However, it's quite the contrary, with both Hammond's and Turris' wife saying they're not even surprised with her being accused.
Doesn't mean she's guilty, but that speaks to her personality in general. |

since hoffmans agent reportedly went to the Sens and said lets call a spade a spade, the Hoffmans and Karlssons cant be in the same rooms anymore.
Pretty telling that whatever did happen, its at the point that they cant be on the same team any longer. |

No one is laughing at Ottawa. This story is too disturbing to laugh.
Hoffman needs to break this off if there is ANY shred of truth to this story. He then STILL needs to be traded and hopefully he can continue his career Sans nut job fiance'.
I think Kharlsson needs to be traded too. If for no other reason than to allow his family to get a fresh start far away from what they went through this season.
would not be a terrible Idea to have new owners too.. but first 2 are a must. |

I'm not here to bash or troll. But it seems like all you hear about the Sens org is all negative off the ice. Melnyk, Lee, player disagreements, Melnyk not wanting Turris to be there, Alfie leaving twice, not willing to pony up for Karlsson.. and now this? I legitimately feel bad for the fans, coming from a fan who should definitely feel bad about his own team. |

Hoffman is on teh road a lot, that is true. But how could all the wives know about this, and hoffman hear nothing? The team knew, other players wives knew, but he knew nothing.
It's just so unlikely. |

No real way to salvage this.
Yep, he knew, karlsson never wants to see him again.
He didn't know, his name is being dragged through the mud, he'll likely be very upset wtih karlsson. Karlsson likely will never truly beielve such a story anyway.
This is somehow all a mistake and his fiance is innocent: He never wants to deal with karlsson again. |
