If you swapped our D with the Jet's, they'd be better too. These circular arguments never end and they aren't at all compelling. The only thing they are good for is to show that we only have 1 difference maker on the team and that the guys you want to swap there aren't. - Lunaion
I guess
Not like i said Sam was better than Ehlers
Just that there wasn’t a big gap
Also...
i said that it was referring to the players trade value & not specifically their stats |

It’s funny how u absolutely refuse to answer any question that won’t back up your side of the argument
Guys that Ehlers plays with
>>>>>
Guys that Sam plays with
Laine, Little, Jets defense
Eichel, Kane/Girgs/Wilson, Sabres defense
U aren’t gonna try & tell me that’s close just bc of Eichel... are you? - jdfitz77
Dude, you can't have this both ways.
Either Ryan O'Reilly is super good, which means Sam Reinhart played with super good players in O'Reilly and Eichel, or O'Reilly is not, and Reinhart was playing with lesser talent.
Reinhart's most common linemates the past two years has been
1. Jack Eichel
2. Evander Kane
3. Ryan O'Reilly
Nik Ehlers most common linemates
1. Patrik Laine
2. Bryan Little
3. Mark Schiefele
Most common D men
Ehlers
1. Dustin Byfuglien
2. Josh Morrissey
Reinhart
1. Rasmus Ristolainen
2. McCabe/Scandella
Reinhart gets more PP time
PICK. A. SIDE.
Is Ristolainen and O'Reilly really good, or no? |

Reinhart played the back-9 of the season with ROR and his stats went up.
He sucked at center with Pouliot and Griffith, then he bounced around and started lighting it up with ROR |

I think you're missing the beauty of this Winnipeg argument. It literally works for everyone on the team, it can keep going indefinitely, and it drives everyone crazy. It's a troller's dream!

What's remarkable is he is one of the ones who wants to make little changes here.
BUT THE TEAM IS SO BAD IT'S WEIGHING REINHART DOWN.
None of it makes any sense.

Make it stop Ottawa:
James Duthie on TSN1050: “Sad thing is from everything I am hearing we may not have heard the end of craziness out of Ottawa. There might be more coming down the chute. I don’t know what the more is yet, I’ve just heard there is more.” #Sens |

I'll have to take your word for it. The dobber linemate chart for Reinhart is super wacky and messed up |

He did well, don't get me wrong, my impression of Reinhart has changed, but he still like most of the team, can't be a consistent threat at EV |

I do kind of hate arguing against Sam so much. I do think he plays an under-rated two way game, but there's no denying that his stats are inflated here. I'd move him in the right deal, but I'd move almost anyone in the right deal. I hate the idea that we should just let this team improve from within with a burning rage.

I don't hate Reinhart (anymore), but to compare him to a guy putting up back to back 60+ point seasons while getting secondary PP time is not a good comparison |

So what would the + coming back look like. Salaries (when Skunk is resigned) will be about even, and that's always everyones issue with RoR. With that out of the way, is a 2nd too much to balance it out? it's a late 2nd, which is basically a 3rd, where all the hidden gems are. I'd do that deal. |

I actually think it's a fair deal, but I think WPG would say no.
They'd be getting slower |

I don't know how this all got started in the first place. Why would Winnipeg want to shake up their forwards? Even if the value is fair, why would they do it? |
