Maybe he thinks Fasching will be a late bloomer ie Wheeler. - Wetbandit1
No..

Seriously? Wheeler didn't score 20 goals until he was 26 and in the league for 5 years, he didn't even score 20 then, it was 19 in 48 of the lockout year, so I'm giving it to him.
It took him until he was 25 before he had a 60 point season. That's incredibly late for a 5th overall. Reinhart scored more in his first 2 years than Wheeler did. And we all know Reinhart sux, (frank) him and the horse he rode in on, a pox on him and his entire house, yada yada yada.
Edit: He didn't score 20 goals after his rookie year until he was 26. |

Bandits are you thinking about someone else he scored 20 when he was 22 ?
The reason why he became the player he is today he got rid of his cocky attitude that he was the best player in the world and look what it did for him
When he got traded he finally woke up and became the player he was supposed to be |

Sometimes a change of scenery is what it takes for players to reach their potential, happens in all sports. However I would be hesitant to part with Risto and Reinhart just yet, they’re young and can absolutely help us in the near future. I just feel if we trade them now we will be looking for their replacements in 2 years and they’re cost controlled for the time being |

How do you expect to change the roster and make it better if you keep everyone

You trade ROR and shed the vets who arn't cutting it anymore (Pommer, Gorges, Pouliot, etc.)

I do believe so yes unless they signed him to an ELC.
Hickey played with Eichel, ERod, and OReagan while there. I’m willing to bet they feel comfortable he can be convinced to sign. - JVince11
All these movies makes me think that JB is 100% on the "Captain Eichel" train. |

Mittelstadt, Dahlin, Reinhart being consistent over 82 games, Risto playing less minutes and not against the other teams best players every shift. Free agency. Guhle, Nelson, Erod taking the next steps. Okposo getting back to his regular self. One or two of Nylander, Bailey, Baptiste, Smith, Olofsson taking a wing position by the horns and producing well. Having a goalie that can stop a beach ball would help as well. |

But isn’t the goal to build a championship team?
Lets say you don’t trade those players ...The values that they had could decrease
Like Ristolainen (if GMs see that he can’t be the one to handle the load they might think differently of him )
And ROR (his attitude and play could go down in the gutter when Jack Eichel’s named captain and decreasing his value )
And you can’t keep the locker room how it is now it will just be a toxic environment for everybody and we won’t see any success |
