Hoffman is available
Kapanen, Dermott and 25OA

- SarthGnome

Hoffman will garner a 2nd rounder and a b/c prospect

Oh, your trade proposal was a joke. I wasn't replying to that at all. Just that if we had the 4th, it wouldn't be Tkachuk.

Bill Ny > 4th overall pick. No way Liljegren would be added.

Oh I guess that's fair.

Oh great. Then his fiancee will be shadowing Nylander after he doesn't let her into the cute girl clique.

Ottawa would need to retain 25% of the remaining contract with all this off ice bs.
- zazzle

15% and you have a deal.

How about this, if you have to trade Nylander to get Tavares you do it.

On the contrary I just landed Kapanen, Dermott and the 25OA for 15% retained Hoffman.
When I want my d!ck sucked I'll jiggle my zipper.
Until then you can remain stagnant, thanks!

Nah.

If you get Tavares for free you can trade Nylander for D.

You can even trade Nylander for D to balance the team.

But Nylander for Tavares? You improve the team immediately short term but Nylander has many seasons ahead of him still. Not sure that's worth trading away without helping the team in another area that needs more help (defense).

If stone wants out, he can sign an offer sheet.

We could have a live one here.

- Tumbleweed

Accordion to the capfriendly offersheet calculator the Leafs could offer a 7y, 5.75m cap hit and only be out a 1st, 2nd, 3rd. I'd take Stone for that.

At 5.75m you'd think Ottawa would just match but what if you front loaded like crazy like first 3 years he makes 15mil a year. Would Eugene balk?

Who is Tavares?
Do you not mean Taveras?
I don't think Nylander lands you either of the aforementioned

There's no way Stone accepts a deal that low. He's getting 7 mil minimum.

That's how I spelled it the first time, but some Hab fan corrected me.

But either way, you get Tavares first and trade Nylander second. If you trade Nylander and come up short on Tavares, then what happens?

Why would we trade Nylander for the 4th overall when we could just trade him for Tanev

well that was my meaning, maybe I should have said if signing Tavares means losing Nylander you do it.

You're right. He is still an RFA though and maybe something extremely front loaded would be appealing.

You could do 5y at 8m same compensation.

If "losing" Nylander means trading him for a top pairing RHD that is 25 or younger, absolutely.

But Tavares isn't coming to Toronto.
