Tampa blogger suggests the Lightning should consider trading Anton Stralman to free up Cap space....not sure what Stevie Y is thinking along these lines, but JBotts would be wise to look into it.
31 old vet presence of Swedish origin, at a decent cap hit of $4.5, plays right side...spent times last few season with Hedman with Sergachev ... . So good experience playing with some supremely talented D. He could be the perfect add for a year or two!!!

Well Anaheim traded Andersen for a reason. As well as Johnsson and Grundstrom have looked you are losing a 37 goal scorer that don’t grow on trees. Say what you want about Bozak but who do you have to replace him ? Eichel was as visible as Matthews these past playoffs. The leafs are perennial playoff contenders but I still see another first round exit next year.

If Toronto decides to stand pat and do nothing it will be a modest regression. They'd still be a playoff team and it would be Marlies promoted in place of the departed UFA's.

If they are still a playoff team will locking up three dynamic offensive talents long term off ELC's I'd consider that a success.

If they don't replace Bozak, Nylander is ready for Bozak's secondary offense role.

You might not be dead last, but if you have any issues moving forward with Matthews of Marner, I can see the Leafs missing the playoffs in the next year or two.

You have good players walking from the team on July 1, your not dominate down the middle, the wings need help, your defense sucks, but your goaltending is solid. You'll be a bubble team soon enough.
