That's mainly because Campbell's first full season came at 23, and then it was only 65 games.
Edit: He never played a full 82 with the Sabres, but he did play 83 the year he was traded. - Wetbandit1
and soupy was bad that year and the next year
then a lockout
26 before he came into his own

some are crying because we didn't get domi and his 5 goals this season with a goalie on the ice |

Yeah, but Risto played big minutes(20+ minutes) from 20, stands to reason he'd be further ahead. Campbell didn't eclipse 20 until he was 27. |

Why wouldn't we? - Wetbandit1
Age, and contract situation. He is going to want O'Reilly $ or more. I'd take O'Reilly over Patches any day. Unless we get something else of value, I don't want to move ROR for Patches - it's a loss in my mind. |

France got lucky on this one....1-1 draw against what was essentially a 2nd/3rd string US team and now what could have been a 1-1 draw against a meh Australia...
throwing a bunch of ultra-talented super stars onto the same field does not make a team |

it makes no sense to get him I would understand if he was the last piece to the puzzle for us to be a contender but we aren’t |

If they can get pick 3 for ROR....thats a win but I hesitate with anything less. I have this poopty feeling that if ROR stays in our division he will make it his personal mission to make the Sabres life a living hell. - feetontheair22
If there is anyone who is plugged into the Sabres plays and strategies it is ROR... he would tell the Habs for sure. |

He’s a lot like Steve Ott in that way.

If our GM trades for a player that is a UFA next year and that is going to command 7-8m at the side of 30
And with a lockout coming
He’s just another Tim Murray in the making |

Domi is a scrub 3rd to 4th liner.
Also no way no they trade us #3 for O’Reilly |

It depends on the other moves he makes. What we as a fanbase shouldn't do, is panic IF he brings in a Pacioretty, without knowing what else he has planned.
What does McDermott say? Trust the process? |

You're contradicting yourself.
If they're willing to trade Galchenyuk for a "scrub", then maybe they're willing to trade 3 for a very good centerman. |

If Pacioretty can score 30+ with the assortment of crap he’s played with over the years imagine what he could do with Eichel. |

When they have zero centers on the roster it is all but guaranteed ROR will be there

It's a good bet. He'd be reinvigorated playing with Eichel and Rhino. |

But you’re going to pay him 7-8 m and by age 33 he could be declining I want none of that
We all know he will score but what’s the point of signing him when he won’t help us in the playoffs ? And stuck with a 8m player like the ducks are with Perry |
