This dude sounds like he fellows me and takes my opinions for facts
Oh well hopefully he’s right - gerbe75pts
Or he has 2 eyes. Everyone knows the Canadiens have no centers.
If Pacioretty can score 39 goals in 73 games with Turtleneck. Imagine what he could do with Jack? I don't think me makes more than $6.5M because he will be 30 when he signs, and for a legit 1LW absolutely! FFS people, we need people who can score goals! |

Everyone knows he can score but the point is when he’s 33 will be in the playoffs and he will start Declining |

If he is signing for 4.5 then in my mind that should be a long term deal it be dumb signing him to that and the 2 years later 5m or 5.5 for 6 - gerbe75pts
Why would that be dumb? That would mean he probably got better. |

Perhaps. But you can't just have a team of little pissants. Ask Toronto, they went out and got Old Man River this year and it still really didn't help. |

And, speaking of, I see Pacioretty as a Marleau type that will play well well into his 30's. |

You don't get to have it both ways though. You want to sign him to a short term deal because you don't think he's good, and you think he wouldn't get a raise on the next deal after that, but if you sign him to a 2 year deal and he DOES get better then you're out way more than an extra million bucks a year. |

Yeah, but they had Tavares. And Okposo is fine. He had a good year once he got his feet under him.
Pacioretty IS the Canadiens best player. Easily. |

Even if he did sign for 6.5, we'd have two over-30 wingers making almost $13m for at least the next 5 years
