I'd target Bernier in FA for 3 years, 3.3, or like you said, Grubauer if he's available reasonably.

I don't think the Sabres would be picking second, simply because even if they were horrible again, i don't think they'd get that lucky twice.

Picking 1 + 2 this year, with Eichel and Mitts gives you a VERY solid core of four top-end players under 22. Reinhart and Risto are still there too, as peripheral core pieces.

The other LW positions, i laid out a highly speculative trade scenario for both Hoffman and Athanasiou
