Lol you are not getting Hamilton for Kevin Hayes unless Gorton is adding #9 and a whole lot more. They have plenty of defensive prospects they can trade. Fox/Andersson/Kylington/Valimaki are all good-to-very good prospects and I'm sure they are willing to part with one, if needed. - eichiefs9
I would like to add an opportunity for you to suck my balls

I know. Just mean that he’s what the Rangers would get back. I don’t think Hayes would bring back just prospects, he’s worth a solid NHL player coming back.

Maybe they send back TJ Brodie. But Hamilton is arguably one of the top 15-20 defenseman in the league. Kevin Hayes is good and would be a valuable trade piece, but he's not that good.
If I were a Ranger fan, I'd much prefer a real solid prospect in return than someone like Brodie.

Great, we are back to the point where Chiefs constructs deals for the Rangers where they give up their whole damn team for players that are either overrated or will be UFA in a year and command 50 gagillion dollars.

I'm not constructing anything, just pointing out that Hamilton is a bonafide top-pairing #1 defenseman and Kevin Hayes scored 44pts last year. Hayes is a real good young-ish player, but they would have to add considerably to land Hamilton. I'm not saying they should, just that that's what it would take if you wanted Hamilton.

Only way I'm happy if Hayes goes for whatever trade there is, if they magically sign JT.
Cant imagine they trade Hayes for a d-man when they are already light at center - mdw7413
They have depth at center now, granted it isn’t proven yet really. I just don’t see trading him for prospects, he’s gotta get a proven player back. Not Brodie either
